"Hey guys I'm right here." -Tibor
Pleiss shows up and tells DL... "I don't know if you were aware, but I hit 31% from three in the D-League."
He actually showed a nice jumper from around the foul line. Here's highlights to his D-League games: https://dleague.nba.com/player/tibor-pleiss/
I watched the Spurs highlights where he hits a few.
I don't know why you can't play Pleiss or Whitey for 8-10 minutes as a backup especially Pleiss since you thought enough about him to give him a 3 million dollar/yr contract. He has some nice low post moves and has a nice jumpshot. Lyles is going to be the second team outside shooter.
Not sure this was anything more than a weak rumor. We could have had Hawes & the 22nd pick. Hawes at $6,000,000 and a UFA in 2018. Not a lot of shooting bigs left besides Gasol & Speights.
Man, Meyers Leonard - what a bizarre shooting trajectory. Plays two years at Illinois, 7'1", strong, athlete prospect - problem? can't shoot. He shot 12 threes in two years there making 1.
Rookie year shoots 7 threes all year. 2nd year goes 0-6 all year. So, 4 years of basketball 185 games, dude is 4-25 from 3pt range.
Third year in the NBA, shoots 112 threes, making 42%! last year takes 228 threes making 38%. unreal. i imagine there is nothing like it in NBA history.
I heard that other day that duncan has said he will play next seasonPau Gasol? Seems like the best fit to me. Sounds like his top options are San Antonio, Portland and Minnesota. I honestly think the Jazz would be just as good (if not better) of a fit for him. I can understand the interest in San Antonio, but the Jazz can offer him more money for essentially the same role (if Duncan comes back.)
Wow. That's crazy.Man, Meyers Leonard - what a bizarre shooting trajectory. Plays two years at Illinois, 7'1", strong, athlete prospect - problem? can't shoot. He shot 12 threes in two years there making 1.
