Just in case it had to be spelled out, this is only secondarily about Mo Williams, but if we're to compare Williams vs. Harris, Williams is still a better fit here and is a much more viable longterm option (shooting is a skill that ages well, kamikaze in the lane is not).

That $3 mil isnt enough to keep them from signing DWill though right? If thats the case I dont see them sending us #17.

Yes.

Anything not worse for Al works for me.
Anything not worse Harris works as well.

I would only want something substantial in a deal involving the 4 + Sap.

Again, that should be an ancillary benefit. It's separate from renting your Cap Space to help 2 competitors within your division that are better than you already. The only way it makes sense is if you think getting an overpaid Mo for free is worth the sticker cost. It isn't. So Dallas and LA need to cough something up.

Well, he was coming off a season of shooting 38%/26% and the Jazz already had 2 decent PG's in their stable (or so they thought). Who knew Mo would develop into a great PG? I think the feeling back then was also a concern over his size. He is pretty small at 6'1." Mo certainly isn't the solution long-term, but he'd be great to have while another PG is developing. And hopefully it would lead to Harris being dealt sooner rather than later.

Also, I know Corbin is not Sloan, but the offense will probably be similar, even with a full training camp for Ty. It used to take 1-2 years for a new PG to learn Sloan's system. Mo would be able to come in and not miss a beat.
 
I like it. Helps push Devin out the door in a subsequent trade. Brings in a better shooter. Doesn't let our tpe go to waste . And still doesn't hinder our cap space for 2013
