That seems pricier than normal for a pick that low, no?53rd pick cost 2 million to buy.

If the rumors of Knicks and Pacers are remotely true… there is an opportunity to flip Bojan to Indiana for 13 and stuff… then turn around and get 19/21 for 13 while dumping favors. Carlisle hates rookies and they are said to want established players for that pick. The hot rumor is Eric Gordon (went to IU) and 23/24 for 13 and contracts… I would think Bogey and 30 is better but whatevs.Knicks considering trading #19 and/or #21 for Terrence Ross.

Wouldn't Bojan or Clarkson be even better?

I actually thought this would start happening. The trick is you want to sign the guy to a 900k contract and don’t care as much about who the player is but about the cap ramifications. Sam Merrill was a good example of this… bucks needed to stay away from the apron/tax so wanted someone to add with a late 50s pick.
I really dont get the extreme hate for the Matt Thomas deal. The guy has accomplished more in the NBA than most players picked in the range of the pick he was traded for. It was worth getting a look at a potential elite motion shooter who has had some NBA success.I actually thought this would start happening. It’s yet another reason the Matt Thomas deal was dumb AF.

Bidenflation...
What's funny is for some owners, that's like buying a McChicken.53rd pick cost 2 million to buy.
We could pay Mike $35 per year...Trade Donovan and Rudy for the 55, 56 pick. The salary savings would be unprecedented.
Well that “look” cost them around 3-4M to date… for that amount of dough they could take a “look” at my ******* and it’d be a better investment.I really dont get the extreme hate for the Matt Thomas deal. Thomas can survive in the NBA. It all comes down to refining his tools in the offense. He still has potential and I dont get the desire to give up on him so fast. Niang was far worse in his mid-season debut after being acquired by Utah, but he learned to how to succeed despite limitations because he's a high level shooter. But again, extreme cynicism is what's cool I guess.Well that “look” cost them around 3-4M to date… for that amount of dough they could take a “look” at my ******* and it’d be a better investment.
It also costs them a chance to take a “look” at someone with actual potential to help us at 47. Like maybe Wieskamp is there… he’s a shooter but actually has size and athleticism to survive.
I don’t know how anyone can look at that move and be like “great work… nailed it”. I also don’t know who can look at Tony Bradley and see a poor mans Lamarcus Aldridge either… so I guess we just see things differently sometimes.
Please don't confuse logic and "extreme cynicism". Is that the new Cy phrase/word of the day... Don't be daft. Here is a new one for you to look up... "Toxic Positivity".Thomas can survive in the NBA. It all comes down to refining his tools in the offense. He still has potential and I dont get the desire to give up on him so fast.
