Going back to the George Hill trade... how do you do that trade without an extension basically agreed upon... especially when you held your cap space in an effort to do a team friendly deal? No extension then no trade. We ended up sitting on cap space for nothing... that asset just expired. That's the stuff that bothers me. I'm fine with trading in picks for players... but the process needs to be thought out and the plan needs to be executed. We ended up getting Ricky because that is who Gordon wanted. What kind of thought process is that? It's ****ing insane how much DL has been skipping steps with his PG rentals. The jazz have the audacity to comparing themselves to following the Spurs model of success to then Warriors model to the Raptors to next year the Suns or Bucks... The Jazz have had every major ingredient you'd want for years, but they keep ****ing it up. Unfortunately acquiring Conley was a major **** up- that depleted way too many resources. He kept digging the jazz into a hole this year by screwing up around the edges and going over the cap- was the dude just cashing it in? wtf?
I mean, I dont think anyone thought George Hll would ball out so hard in the first 15 games or so to the point where he got super contract greedy.Going back to the George Hill trade... how do you do that trade without an extension basically agreed upon... especially when you held your cap space in an effort to do a team friendly deal? I mean both Tucker and Craig were traded, which means they did not have a say in where they wanna play. If they are stars like Kyrie or Dame, then maybe. But I'm not sure guys like Craig get to decide who they wanna play for anyways.People should realize that perhaps we did pursue some of these guys like Craig and Tucker but they did not want to play in Utah for obvious reasons. I’m not saying every one of them, but it’s very possible that was the case. That they said no or that they said, I want to be on Milwaukee or Phoenix first and if those don’t work out, I’ll sign with that Jazz.
I mean, let’s be honest. The racial **** that’s happened here the last couple seasons doesn’t help. And if I’m a black guy, I probably am not running to Utah as my first or second choice.
It’s hilarious, a Dame Lillard trade would not happen until the season got under way. You would literally already have Mike signed. Are you extremely dense? And yes I think Mike would be quite okay playing with Dame Lillard. Hell Jordan Clarkson’s brother posted a photoshop of Dame in a Jazz uniform wanting it badly like a week ago lol.Dude Conley isn’t re-signing here with Lillard. Like I said above if you would ****ing read, unless we are trading Conley for a solid starting piece this trade makes us worse.
I'd rather this happen than trade Donovan for Dame and then have Dame ask out again next year... if you think Don won't accept a stepback think about Dame. Only reason he hasn't demanded out is he's trying to think of how to breakup with Portland and maintain his loyal brand identity. You’re wrong. Donovan is invested in HIM winning a championship not just the Jazz, he won’t accept taking a step back, he’ll ask for a trade next offseason.

Who said take a step back with Dame? Hell no you wouldn’t, you would go absolutely all in, huge tax for a year or two and then rebuild. It’s what you’re staring at right now with Donovan in a couple years, idk why that’s so difficult to understand.I'd rather this happen than trade Donovan for Dame and then have Dame ask out again next year... if you think Don won't accept a stepback think about Dame. If Don asked out next year we'd get such a huge haul for him that it would help sooth some of the pain... don't get me wrong... it sucks... but it sucks worse to string us out and then leave when we can't get anything back.
They won’t take that package lolLet’s trade Conley, Bogey and however many first round picks it takes to get Lillard then at that point.
