Jazz players at the World Cup

Rudy's an effing beast! It's hard not to be excited about him. I'm pretty happy with everyone in World Play except for Exum. That boy needs to get to Utah and start getting his *** into shape. Gobert, Neto and even Tomic all have looked pretty good in this tournament. At the very worst, the Jazz have some nice assets to work with in Neto and Tomic. I bet both of them are NBA bound next year (if they stay healthy.)

Coach Nick breaks down how France broke down Spain's defense:

In that Croatia game, the French coaches gave up on him way too fast. He only played 12 mins. And he wasn't even in foul trouble. I think he would have played much better once he got a better feel for things. But they threw that 6'7" Petrus guy in to guard Centers once Rudy made any mistakes.
I've noticed that if Rudy gains some early confidence that his game raises to a higher level quickly. He gained that confidence with those two early dunks during the Spain game.

Rudy is not a primary focus for the other team and it seems easy for him to just be a filler guy. If he gets a chance to stand out it seems like he wants to remain that focal point.

I'm interested to see if France/Utah get him active early so that he can make his mark felt in the game.

Rudy looked like Hibbert out there. Completely stifling penetration, and clobbering most of the post-ups sent his way. It was awesome seeing the PGs of Spain (all of whom with incredible experience mind you) circle in and out of the paint.

I'd love love LOVE to see Gobert take on America.

Suck it Gasol! You greasy *******!

The announcer's reaction is awesome. I laugh every time I listen to it. Rudy makes a great play. It is plays like this that get me excited about watching him play this year. Rudy has a chance to be a cult hero if he plays defense like he has this summer in the NBA.

Coming soon to an NBA arena near you!

Except for that Rudy is actually quick enough to show on the pick and roll and get back... Hibbert ain't that fast.

I got GOBERT FEVER... the only cure is more GOBERT!

Two things that aren't getting mentioned.

-Gobert plays so hard. He gives a lot of effort. He might have to work on containing that energy, and being focused this year.

-He's running so well down the court. He looks like hes in great shape.

I just feel he has the will to fight, and a competitive spirit. We need that.
