Jazz Players Defend Kanter and Say He was NOT a Cancer

I don't think Kanter is a bad kid nor do I think he was a cancer. I think many Jazz fans like to create drama where there is little or none. Kanter is 22 years old, I think I was a bit selfish then. I am sure that I said things that I would later regret but wasn't humble enough at 22 years old to admit I was wrong.

I liked Kanter but there is no way I wanted the Jazz to pay him a near MAX contract. So his trade request just made it easier to let him go. Fans should be happy because the trade allowed Rudy to play more.

It's considered being an adult, but few people have plateaued, in terms of maturity, at that age. A lot of American 22 yr olds are binge drinking at frat parties and having one last hoorah for spring break, hardly the maturity prime of their lives.

But he is a professional basketball player. I wasn't the most mature person at 22 but I still wasn't self entitled and I took accountability for my actions. People try to make it seem like Kanter should be babied and pampered while he's making millions of dollars a year. He takes his life and his job for granted.

The mentally impaired don't teach themselves a foreign language as complex as English, or master the intricate footwork of a mentor in a short time frame.

Now you'll respond with "then why couldn't he learn defense?" Or "this only proves he didn't try," but you know I have opinions on both, so can we just agree to disagree?

I disagree

I am baffled to think that some people can't understand that even a grown *** man still puts his foot in his mouth.

The only people that say that are 40 year olds who still work at Chicos Mexican cafe and consider it a career, or some 33 year old gay living off his forefathers inheritance and never had to account to ****.

I don't believe it was all rosy in the locker room before Kanter trade. We saw Hayward and Burke (oh irony) barking on Kanter every so often on the court bringing Kanter's mood down. Then that Hayward's blog post with a disguised shot at Kanter right after the trade when everyone was still happy with each other on public. Unlikely, he was locker room cancer but "it was all great" is unlikely given how Enes took a swing at some teammates.

I too wonder why the Utah Jazz franchise lashed out, completely unprovoked, at Enes Kanter. Like, why? It's not like he insulted an entire franchise, city or his teammates.
Insulted city and fans as in not missing them?

Class? As in sensationalist tweets that Enes didn't respond to? My heart tells me Enes is immature, but also misunderstood.

It pains me that there is anyone who cannot see the difference between somebody trying to tarnish a team, his old teammates, the fans that cheered for him, and even the city he played for and the dudes who are sticking up for all four. Understand SF that Kanter didn't just break bad on his old teammates, he broke bad on YOU. He disrespected YOU as a fan of the franchise because you don't have the good sense to be an Oklahoma City fan. The Jazz as a team probably could have let the thing go, but when Kanter started badmouthing EVERYONE, they served him up like he deserved. Even former players like Demarre stood up and defended you as a fan of the franchise. Those are the dudes that I want wearing my team's name on their chest. Those guys have my back and their teammates back, so I'll be damned if I don't have their back as well. I guess you can make a different choice if you want. . .
