Jazz Pre-Draft Camps and Workouts

You can't trade a first round pick two years in a row. The Jazz traded their own 2010 first round pick and just have the Knicks' pick. I thought Memphis got the Jazz's 2010 pick, but actually it ended up with Minnesota (#23) via Philadelphia due to the Korver trade. So, I had it wrong. Memphis has a #25 pick from Denver.

Ugh if that Kings intel is correct, the Jazz are looking to trade up for Monroe? Please tell me that isn't so!

AFAIK the rule is actually that you can't not pick in the first round two years in a row. Typically that means you can't trade your pick in two successive years, but if you get someone else's pick (like the Jazz having the Knicks' pick), trading your own pick two years in a row is just fine.

Plus one because I like you (being an admin and all).

Thanks for clarifying...

So the intel about us moving into the 20's sounds as if we really may be trading #9 for Memphis' two 1st rounders as has been rumored. Please get those restrictions on their 1st lowered KOC.

Now it's getting odd. There are reports of Jazz moving up and reports of Jazz moving down. Guess it all depends on how draft goes.

Oh, man. The darft is rife with enough counterintelligence to make the CIA jealous. This is getting exciting. Its like a ****ing Clancy book up in here.

btw, if I'm not mistaken, Seraphin is a French citizen but is not French per se. Isn't he from the Caribbean?

Kevin Seraphin is from "Guyane", and Guyane = France. Guyane is one of the 4 "Départements d'Outre Mer" (kind of "oversea counties", along with Reunion, Martinique, and Guadeloupe where Rodrigue Beaubois is from), back from the times France was a colonial country.
As for his height, he's listed as "2m06" here. I don't know anything else about him, sorry.

That's why you see fewer picks traded right before the draft (the Jazz trading up to pick Deron was an exception).

The Jazz might want #5, but only if a certain guy is there. They might want to keep #9, but only if one of their top 7 or 8 is there. If #5 and #9 are both no-go, they might be willing to take two picks later on, and even more so if they can pick up another asset in the process.

Perrin on Sportsbeat said the Jazz wanted COusins in for a workout but his agent wouldn't let him.
