Yeah, I probably couldn't talk myself into Thompson unless we had some crazy plan to trade Millsap or one of our other frontcourt players for a really good wing player.
 
I cannot talk myself into liking a player if I feel strongly enough. Play can make me change my mind though (Hayward, for example).

Vesely or Kemba would have to play their way into me changing my mind. I do not see it in them.

And the underperformance of the guys drafted after the pick I guess (see Cole Aldrich)
 
Not many people wanted Cole Aldrich here that I can remember. I don't even remember who everyone wanted. I think I was in the Paul George corner, but even I don't remember who I was going for.
 
I wasn't happy about Hayward and I was wrong. I absolutely wanted nothing to do with Ostertag Jr.(Cole Aldrich).
 
I wasn't as much an Aldrich guy as much as an "anyone but Hayward" guy, but yeah. The adage used for Hayward applies to any young player though (wait 2-3 years and see what you have then). Though I'm honestly not sure how he gets off the bench on that team, or rather, how much he can (being behind Ibaka, Collison, and Perkins).
