I think perhaps the most impressive thing about Fes so far has been the free throw shooting. Has the world gone mad. Not looking to good for Thompson. He might be the first de facto cut. Not sure what Sloan's intent with Gaines not playing. Be interesting to see if he gets any playing time next game. If not I would say he is gone.

The Jazz are just trying to get a good look at how all 3 backup PG's are running the offense. Gaines got the 4th qtr of game 1 and the 2nd qtr of gm 2. Price got the 2nd qtr of gm 1 and the 2nd qtr of game 3 against Phoenix (he played in the 2nd game but that was at SG). Watson's played the 4th qtr of the 2nd and 3rd preseason games. I expect the coaches to continue to distribute PT evenly until someone emerges, but Gaines has played well.

True, but the problem for Gaines is do we need 4 guys who can play the point. Obviously Price could the play the 2 against smaller teams, but 4 is an awful lot of PGs to keep. He is the one without the guaranteed contract so he is in peril.
