What's new

Jazz-Rockets game thread, happy groundhog day

The Jazz need more talent. They've been too inconsistent this year and still don't have a guy that can create and score reliably. I have a feeling the Conley deal gets done. Mirotic would be a nice addition as well. It's a carryover of problems from last year. Time to rectify them.

Is Mitchell injured again? He's playing like he was in December, slow, half assed penetrations that lead to a TO or a mid range shot with 2 or 3 defenders on him. He was attacking the rim much more effectively lately.

What changed? Rubio came back. Donovan needs to be the facilitator. Ricky nerds to get the F out of Utah.

But that is not what the rumors are about. IF Conley comes to town he will have the ball in his hands more, and Donovan less. I wonder what it would be like if Jazz let Mitchell be like Iverson and they found a player to fill the Eric Snow role-in that scenario I would love to keep Rubio as the pg coming off the bench to facilitate the second unit.

People want Exum to be the big sg to play alongside Donovan, not me. He is what he is, an injury prone, unreliable, mouth breather who would have his lunch money stolen in the G-league.

Bwahahahaha! Stfu.
Its similar to Shaq. He just so insanely gifted, both physically (hand eye coordination) and skill-wise that he's impossible to guard and referee.

He also has an incredible understanding of the nuance of unwritten rules in the game. Like the whole push-off thing. Everyone is allowed to pushoff (Mitchell does it all the time on his drives in a much more egregious fashion than Harden does tbh) *to an extent*. It isn't neatly defined, but everyone knows you can't fully extend your arm, but you can kind of extend it. Harden has found that point and just abuses it because of how strong he is.

Nah, Exum is a change of pace PG with incredible defensive potential and a huge key to beating any team with elite scoring guards.
