Jazz rookies get shafted on nba.com's rookie ladder

I think the omission is justified.

Kanter doesn't have a hope in hell in putting up big numbers - he's playing behind Jefferson, Millsap, Favors AND Okur.

The same with Burks, he's playing behind Miles, Hayward AND Bell.

This is what my online book has listed:

5001 Brandon Knight +800
5002 Derrick Williams +350
5003 Enes Kanter +500
5004 Jan Vesely +1200
5005 Jimmer Fredette +500
5006 Kawhi Leonard +2000
5007 Kemba Walker +800
5008 Klay Thompson +1200
5009 Kyrie Irving +500
5010 MARCUS Morris +1500
5011 MARKIEFF Morris +1500
5012 Norris Cole +1500
5013 Ricky Rubio +800
5014 Tobias Harris +1500

I think most of AK's minutes are going to go to Hayward and a chunk of Raja Bell's numbers are going to go to Alec Burks this year.
I think Burks will get a chance to shine if he comes to play.
Kanter's minutes may actually harder to come by, especially earlier in the season.

I don't argue if Burks and Kanter should make the list or not, but this list is ********. Derrick williams is overrated just as kemba, i doubt klay thompson, vesely ,faried, will get enough mins and if these guys are making the top 10 rookie list, it means the last years draft sucked really bad.

Only potential stars among this years rookies are Irving, Rubio and Kanter. I believe Knight and Leonard will be good players too

Dude, there is absolutely no way that Kanter will be a star this year. Maybe our definitions of stars differ, but to my knowledge the only players from last years rookie class that were "stars" in my opinion, were John Wall and Blake Griffin. I can almost guarantee you that Kanter will not be at their level this season.

Enes Kanter is a child prodigy. He could miss the next 10 years of competitive basketball, then come in to his rookie year at age 30 (having never played basketball for those 10 years) and put up 20 and 10 in 30 minutes of game time.

not too mention, Kanter was drafted at 3, which is 7 spots ahead of ten lol jk :) (though, factoring in the log jam we have on the block i can understand the reasoning here).

I pretty much agree with this. As long as Burks is able to compete on D, I think he'll probably get around 20-24 minutes a night.

Burks could be a star in the NBA, he has the stuff for it. Kanter is a mystery, but from what I have heard, he has the attitude and the body to make any team interested in him.
