I think so too. Doesn't seem to dog it a whole lot, just bends over grabbing his jersey or pants at every stoppage.

And breathes really hard. We were sitting close and he was the one guy you could actually see fighting for air out there. I think that was something that really stood out being close - you would look around at the other players, most standing up straight, some bent over grabbing their pants, but Exum the only one who you could actually see huffing and puffing.

Kanter looked less clumsy and more fluid moving. Gobert could be the surprise of the season.

I hope Motum will make the team. If that happens then Evans has to adapt to small forward position if he wants to get playing time.

Excited about Gobert and Burks. Novak for sure will be launching. It's obvious that he has one purpose in life. Exum seemed to defer often, and I don't remember him using his left. He did react well to the full court press. When that happened he just blew by everybody for a layup, rather than choking. I think he really needs a ton of space to be effective at this point. Full court press actually helped him imo. I noticed he played nearly the entire time. I think he will need a lot of experience to develop. Exum also looked a bit lost on D as we have seen in film. Not dogging on him, but he was one that I kept my eye on so I notice more of what he did.

Hayward and Favors seemed like they didn't care. Confident and aloof.
Crowd was a bit quiet imo.

All in all It was good to watch some ball again!

Yep. I don't think Gobert and Burks have it in them to act/play that way. Especially Gobert. I made the comment to my brother that Gobert could be playing at some mormon church court with a bunch of dorky white guys and he'd be going hard, getting pissed at missed calls, etc.

Yep.
I thought it was a shot at first and I was like wtf

Nice play by both of them.

I thought the sick kid was awesome btw.

Most kids that age would get horrible stage fright and probably freeze up or cry.
That kid was great

It was really touching!!

My wife is into Yoga and she was really impressed by Rudy Gobert when they were stretching. She said he is the most limber of any of the Jazz players for what that is worth..:) I was surprised how much stronger Alec Burks looked last night. I hope he has an awesome year.

That's very interesting. I wonder if he is still acclimating to the altitude (melbourne (lived most of his life) --> 100ft above sl, LA (where he trained/lived for nearly a year after moving to the states --> 230ft above sl) to SLC ~4,300ft above sl)

That's the only thing i can think of.

That would definitely not help, they've also had some pretty rough practices so it seems.

Then shouldn't Motum be showing signs as well. I am sure the alititude helps but looks like Exum simply has some conditioning work to do.
