Small detail, but the order in which the Jazz executed their signings leaves the possibility that they used their room exception, not the 2nd round exception, to sign Flip. This could give him more money. Eubanks and co were signed using cap space, not the room MLE so that should still be available.
2nd round exceptions can be for 3 or 4 years, but I believe the last year must be a team option. If Flip was resistant to lock into a 4 year deal, the Jazz could be more convincing by giving him more money.
