The deal is bigger than normal because the Jazz basically signed two people, not one.
Isn’t there an exception we could fit him in?

Why did he need to eat into our cap space?
Exceptions also use cap space....

Then what’s the point of it being an “exception”?
Because if you don't have cap space you can use it. But it all counts against the cap total
So ideally we should sign him after we’re capped out, not right now.
I think it means the Jazz have no desire to use the capspace and are just completing the moves they want to make.
I guess whatever dumps that were available weren't that appealing
