What's new

Jazz square off against them Indiana boys on an Indiana night -- Jazz @ Pacers 3/7/2018 5:00 pm MST

He was a liability as a wuss and a chucker.
And he was a split second late on most of his reads, and brought a cloud around with him, and was always a bad defender, and didn't get to the line or cut for ****. He's in a perfect role now: Other guys create shots for him and there's little pressure on him individually.

He is a starter on the team that gets the most media attention in the NBA. I would say there is way more pressure on him now.

Hood wasnt a good defender, but he wasnt a liability.
You obviously have a vested interest in your boy, and you'll find or make up whatever you want to suit your narrative.

Hood's never been a good defender, mediocre vision/passing at best, and softer than his own ****. He could get hot (overwhelmingly against bad competition), but had as many okay games as he did total **** ones.

It's an apples/oranges thing. It's not as much on HIM. All that's asked or expected of him is to hit open shots and be a 3rd or 4th option.

Anyway, I'm done talking about Hood. I just think he was a total weenie and it drove me nuts. I'm happy he's gone.

Not being a good defender =/= being a liability

One last thing: booing your own player is just ****ed and stupid, but at the same time, he deserved them. The Hood-version of the Jazz got embarrassed at home against the Pacers and that's when Hood's time here hit rock bottom. The contrast between that Jazz team and this one is stunning. It isn't a coincidence, either.

None of that made sense.

The Jazz going from being bad in December to go in late January/February had nothing to do, positively or negatively, with Hood. It was all centered around Gobert.
