Jazz taking Jimmer #6 "most logical pick in NBA Draft History"

So, again the question is, who do you draft at 12 that's going to be a starter for the Jazz? Holy cow people, you act like the draft is the easiest ****ing thing in the universe. Hooray for intelligence!!!!

Smart guy, they don't pay us the big bucks to scout for the Jazz. But there are people who they do pay. Are you willing to wager that there won't be 12 players from this draft better than Jimmer?? Because I am willing to bet there will be. I just hope our scouts can find them.

What are you willing to bet?

Name 12 players that will have a better NBA career than Jimmer, guy (this includes how players will fit with teams they are drafted to, injuries, coaching treatment, attitude, work ethic, durability, buy-outs, progression, contract negotiation, accidents, off the court problems, and stuff like that.) You should work for the Jazz.

-But seriously, nothing but love. I'm not a BYU fan. I'm not a huge Jimmer homer, I'm just not going to say the kid has no chance of succeeding in the NBA because of other players like Morrison and the obvious reason he's white.

He's got the size. He's got the handles. He's got the offensive game (not just shooting 3's, but driving relentlessly to the hole). He seems to have the heart and the work ethic. He hasn't been injury prone. He's not great at defense (I don't think he'll ever be great, but I'm not dumb enough to think he can't or wont try to play d at the next level) He doesn't have to be a defensive player of the year because, you know, sometimes the best defense is a good offense.

Were you one of the dudes that boo'd Haygod and Stockton when they were drafted by chance?

Thanks for the finance lesson, now explain to me why its so irrational to think there will be at least 12 better players in this draft than Jimmer. I don't have to name which specific players will be better, because I can't claim to know. But I'd argue its likely that when its all said and done his Jimmerness lies in the bottom 80% of the draft, rather than the top 5th.

I think its funny, you "mock" me and claim I should "go work for the Jazz" because I'm apparently claiming to have divine scouting ability and believe there will be better players available at our pick. You then follow this with your own expert scouting opinion on the player. Lol. You go work for the Jazz, hombre.

He doesn't have to be a defensive player of the year because, you know, sometimes the best defense is a good offense.

Boozer, is that you??

Because you made it pretty clear that there are at least 12 players in this year's draft that will be better than Jimmer. My main point is - we don't know. It's not irrational, it's just not logical.

I don't have to name which specific players will be better, because I can't claim to know.

You wiggled out of that one fast. lol

This is what bugs me the most about Jimmer haters. Why? Why is it likely when all is said and done he'll be at the bottom 80%? Is it lack of skill? Is it because you don't like him? Is it because he's white? Like we've both said, only time will tell, but why do you have so much confidence the dude is gonna fail? What has he shown that has "failure" written all over him? Just curious.

Um, that's because I said this:
I'm not a huge Jimmer homer, I'm just not going to say the kid has no chance of succeeding in the NBA because etc
I'm going off of stuff we know about the kid. It's called being logical and credible rather than just saying bs stuff like,
he's going to be ****ing Stevish Nasherith beeotchesses lolz omgzzs!!! Jimmer. Jimmered verbage

You then follow this with your own expert scouting opinion on the player. Lol.

It wasn't expert stuff, it's just stuff that is know, guy. lol. Way over your head. hehepeepeecaca.

You go work for the Jazz, hombre.

Been there, done that.

Boozer, is that you??

Why, is that you Michelle Money?

Because you made it pretty clear that there are at least 12 players in this year's draft that will be better than Jimmer. My main point is - we don't know. It's not irrational, it's just not logical.

Actually man, its more logical to assume a player would fall below the top 20% of a draft class. That is logic in its most basic form. If you have 12 people in one group and 32 people in another group which is the most logical choice for which one a person would be in? If you want to claim that this is not logical then I am not sure what I can do for you.

You wiggled out of that one fast. lol

I'm not wiggling out of anything. I am so confident that I don't even need to know half the players that are going to be drafted. Based on my knowledge of the potential of known and lesser-known college athletes and the vast amount of them that exist combined with my skepticism of the NBA level translation ability of Jimmer's skill set I feel pretty sure in my assertion.

Gut instinct? Isn't that all your opinion is based off of? I said I'd like the guy at 20. Just given the talent that exists out there I think there will be better players to be drafted.

Um, that's because I said this:

No brotha, you're just choosing to ignore the logic in my argument. This is because you're a Jimmer fan. There's nothing wrong with that, but don't act like you're coming from a place of pure collected logic and anyone who disagrees with you is blindly ignoring your supremely rational thoughts. The fact that you're trying to paint me this way amuses me.

Been there, done that.

Ah, so you're the mastermind behind those BJ Smiles commercials.

Its not like I'm saying Jimmer will be a bust and wouldn't draft him period. I'm saying I wouldn't draft him at 12 with the other players which will almost certainly be available.

You're trying to say, that if Jimmer would be taken with the 12th pick, that there would be 12 players remaining, who will have better careers than Jimmer (this includes the rest of the first and all of the 2nd round.) This isn't the NFL, guy. 12 guys? You really think it's logical that 12 players will be better after the 12th pick (player of the year) is taken? You're cracking me up, dude.

I'm not wiggling out of anything.

Um, yeah, you did. Once you wiggle, you can't say you didn't wiggle, guy. It's common wiggle knowledge.

I am so confident that I don't even need to know half the players that are going to be drafted.

Ignorance is bliss.
Based on my knowledge of the potential of known and lesser-known college athletes
Stop right here, are you saying Jimmer is a lesser-known college athlete? ****ing ridiculous, but hilarious.

and the vast amount of them that exist combined with my skepticism

bwhahahahwhahahahahha funny funny.

of the NBA level translation ability of Jimmer's skill set I feel pretty sure in my assertion
.

I would love to here your list of all these dudes that have Jimmer's skill set that have failed in the past. Please name, guy.

Gut instinct?
Have you been eating mushrooms?

Isn't that all your opinion is based off of?

Nope. Gut feelings don't win dudes player of the year awards.

I said I'd like the guy at 20.
You can't even name dudes you would want before him. Ignorance.

Just given the talent that exists out there I think there will be better players to be drafted.

Again, where is all this talent level coming from in the weak draft? Going off your gut feeling that there's much more talent in this year's draft doesn't make it true.

No brotha, you're just choosing to ignore the logic in my argument.

Wrong
This is because you're a Jimmer fan.
Have you watched him play? Why shouldn't I be?
There's nothing wrong with that, but don't act like you're coming from a place of pure collected logic and anyone who disagrees with you is blindly ignoring your supremely rational thoughts
.
That's not how it happened, guy. Go ahead and think that way though. lol
The fact that you're trying to paint me this way amuses me.

Me paint? You're the ****ing Picasso

Ah, so you're the mastermind behind those BJ Smiles commercials.

You like those, don't you?

Um no, that's not what I'm saying. I am saying that Jimmer is not going to be one of the top 12 people in the draft. Meaning there will be at worst *1* player better than him. As it follows, if the Jazz draft him they will be passing at least *1* better player, if not more.

K look. Show me your scouting credentials. Until then, my opinion is just as valid as yours.

If the Jazz draft Jimmer i'll cheer for him to succeed. But I have a feeling there will be better players. Feel free to call me out on this as the season goes on.

Hello, McFly??? Do you really not understand what you just wrote? Genius.

I'm just a fan. Hell, Jimmer could be a bust. I just think he's worth the pick at 12. semi-risk, high-reward.

If the Jazz draft Jimmer i'll cheer for him to succeed.

I'll only cheer when he succeeds. lol. It would be pretty ****ing embarrassing if he fails. lol

But I have a feeling there will be better players.

Like who? This is a weak draft. We all know this draft been called weak for sometime now.

Feel free to call me out on this as the season goes on.

Hello, McFly??? Do you really not understand what you just wrote? Genius.

What. Surely you can't be serious. Pretty sure I'm aware what I've been arguing this whole time, which is that Jimmer won't be top 12 in his draft class. I am now officially considering you as "stupid".

I'll only cheer when he succeeds. lol. It would be pretty ****ing embarrassing if he fails. lol

You're an idiot. Are you trolling me?
