Right, just because he's always wrong, doesn't mean he couldn't have been always right. Now I remember why I started skipping your stupid posts.

I absolutely love Millsap and have been behind him for all of the years of the terrible, spoiled Jazz fan whining about him. That said, this doesn't make much sense for either side, but it Millsap wants to be 3rd big for some reason, then, well, welcome aboard.

But Favors and Gobert should be kept on the track that they are on.

What what? KD asked to see a proof that he's been right in one of his rumors. You responded that just because he's never been proven right, doesn't prove him wrong. Which is a pretty stupid thing to say. What matters is that his "rumors" don't seem to have any provable basis in reality. Unlike, say, Woj, who doesn't need to use "prove leprechauns don't exist" logic as his rumors actually often pay off.
 
Baby Sap was unable to land an NBA job for 6 years and suddenly, in Paul's contract year, we give him a 3 year contract.
The interesting part is the next two years are unguaranteed.
Perhaps DL, with a wink and a nod, promises to make them "guaranteed" if Paul comes back.

How does us being interested in Millsap make virtually no sense?

It makes a TON of sense:

1. We want more shooting, especially from a big.
2. Millsap has played here and liked it and fans like him
3. Our current coach has a very good relationship with him
4. We employ his brother on our basketball team (a move some theorized was a strategic move for Paul)
5. We have enough minutes for him (96 total front-court minutes among 3 players = 32 minutes)


The only way it doesn't make sense is when you factor in ego and money. I don't know Millsap so I can't comment on the importance he places on being a starter and getting a lot more mone.

Woj gets information minutes before it hits the news-wire. You can read about his methods online. So when actual deal goes down, he will get the information a few minuets before anyone else and leak it.

Checketts is just getting information on what are essentially plans or ideas, not actual moves that happened that haven't been made public yet.

It makes sense the Jazz are interested in Millsap and would pursue him to some degree, so I see this as a valid rumor.

I heard that the jazz were in serious talks to bring Stockton and Malone back on the roster as starters last season.

You can't comment on money and minutes, TWO OF THE MOST IMPORTANT FACTORS FOR MOST PLAYERS, but you feel perfectly comfortable commenting about him wanting to play with his brother, coach Quin, and his old team! My God.
 
Also, what if the Jazz offer a Millsap a 1 year deal?

Maybe Millsap decides to take a 1 year/10 million dollar contract to set himself up for the cap explosion next year?

Jazz do it to nearly guarantee a playoff spot and bolster our young core's experience.

Millsap does it because he knows he can still get 28+ MPG and probably still put up very good stats, setting himself up for a big contract in the year the cap booms.
