He is a 23 y/o big pass first point guard who had a great year last year 57% TS, good year shooting the 3 and can facilitate all of our score first guys and grow with whatever young core we settle on. A young player on the upswing who can be had for no additional assets. He might not be great defensively but is better on that end than either Keyonte or Brice and would slot in great with Ace and WCJ.

If we pick up 1st round picks by taking on additional salary then it is as if we traded these guys for first round picks. If so, these moves make way more sense. If we dont, I am still highly disappointed in the returns.

Having said that, I would rather watch the youth play as hard as they can than watch Collins, Sexton, and JC playing every 3rd game.

I'll just add: if the draft lottery is, in fact, rigged, I think it works in our benefit next year. AJ and Booz2 both want Utah. We got stiffed this year. There's a whole lot of suspicious eyes looking at Silver and the draft and giving Utah the top pick would be an excellent distraction. My inner conspiracy theorist believes we get #1 or #2 assuming no major roster additions.

And I think we’ll be tanking more “organically” this year.

Last year’s team was bad but should have won more sans our shameless vet benching for which we received a $100K slap on the wrist.

This team will be young, fun, play their balls off and still lose 60+ games.

Not that I think the lotto is rigged but no reason to rig it against us this year.
