Thank you, John Collins.
Yep. Would love to keep Love, but it seems like he wants the buyout - which I don’t blame him for.I've heard Love is an exceptional locker room guy and a strong mentor, with lots of playoff experience to talk about. Hope he's around to play that role.
Kyle Anderson on the other hand... am I remembering right that there were reports out of MN that he was a locker room cancer? The entire fight with Gobert, etc.
Chicago is S tier stupid, we should be figuring out deals with them.
I’m not high on Giddey, though. Maybe they’d be excited about Cody for Buzelis lol
Would giddey ruin the tank though?
Would hate to have positioned ourselves with the perfect roster to get Dybantsa next season and then pay giddey and lose out on a top pick because of it
A and E contradicts.. Lauri is a star…I think the best pathway is to
A.) trade Markkanen for picks and/or a younger player
B.) be a salary dump spot for the next year or two to add more assets
C.) figure out which young guys are worth keeping and cut loose the rest
D.) tank one more year and get a top prospect from the 2026 draft
E.) clear out cap space and create the flexibility to either sign or trade for a star player (probably have to trade for one tbh)
I guess it depends on how well you think his game will hold as he gets older. If you think it bottoms out, you trade him now and then try to snag a younger guy later.A and E contradicts.. Lauri is a star…
I’m mostly concerned his back issues are chronic- if not just keep the dude since you’re unlikely to get his value in the current market.I guess it depends on how well you think his game will hold as he gets older. If you think it bottoms out, you trade him now and then try to snag a younger guy later.
If you think he ages well, then you probably just keep him. He just barely turned 28 and is younger than most other attainable stars right now.
Exactly.. he’s still really young.I guess it depends on how well you think his game will hold as he gets older. If you think it bottoms out, you trade him now and then try to snag a younger guy later.

Depending on how much you play Cody Williams, Ace Bailey and Taylor Hendricks it might not ruin the tank anyways tbh.Exactly.. he’s still really young.
Also with how gutted our team is this year you could say to him “go be 2024 Lauri again” and he won’t ruin the tank.
