Jazz trade with Knicks

Another thing to consider... if you keep both picks you have 14 roster spots spoken for assuming Niang, Morgan, and Miye are back (no Brantley doe... sad). Assume we also want to add at least one free agent... then you are at 15. If you waive Ed he's on your books and if you use MLE you are hardcapped... like it would just be hard mechanically. There are a lot of ways around it....

Trade #38 and Ed for nothing or nothing and another second.
Consolidation trade with Ed and Niang or Bradley
Just waive and stretch Ed but you'll still be near the hard cap and you want some breathing room.
Draft Bolmaro and stash him (not fun for those of us that want immediate gratification).
Waive Niang... I know many of you would love this but he's worth his salary and the Jazz love him... ain't going nowhere.

Or you could just use the taxpayer MLE but that is 5.7M and will take some FAs off the board.

EDIT: I mistyped the first time. I mistakenly said "The correlation between college 3% and NBA 3% was only about 30-35%." I should have said that it was the college FT% and NBA 3% was 30-35%. Correlations between college 3% and NBA 3% were about 15-20%.
 
Locke has been talking a lot about Woodard so I'd say there's a good chance that's who the Jazz take if he's still on the board at 27. Also think there's a good chance Azubuike will be the pick at 38.

Eboua is someone who could get time in the G League and potentially make a real impact - boom or bust, but I like him. Maybe Bane even gets there.

Yeah, that's why I said likely and not for sure.

I'm pretty confident that the 38th pick will be a better player than Brantley if it isnt a stash pick.

Brantley is our version of Paul Millsap. He can spot up from 3, move the ball, make a play off the dribble and finish inside. He wasn't ready as a rookie to contribute, and the Jazz didn't have a glaring need for him last season (like they had a glaring need for Morgan to defend big 4s and 5s). I think Brantley is a rotation player as soon as he's ready. If not, the Jazz can trade him and get something back.

FWIW, if the Jazz draft Woodard, I don't think he's going to play meaningful minutes as a rookie. Shooting, passing and decision-making are all question marks with him, imo.

He's a poor man's Jabari Parker, not Millsap.

I'm intrigued by Jahmius Ramsey or Tyrell Terry. I think either could pair well off the ball with Donovan (I'm assuming DM will be the primary ball-handler once Conley is gone).

Hard to pass up Anthony Edwards if he's still on the board, though.

If Anthony Edwards is there at #27 I assume its because he murdered someone on tape and TMZ leaked the footage.
