Something has to change. Now.

We need to cut someone and replace them with someone else. We need to change the lineups/rotations. We need to bench guys and play Morgan/Brantley/Tucker.

Idk which exactly. But something needs to change immediately. What we're doing now isn't going to lead to different results. These guys don't care. They need to get shook.

But it’s not on Mitchell. This team just really isn’t very good. We have a lot of 3 point chuckers. But we don’t have enough guys who want to do the other aspects of the game.
 
The future of this team, if it can be achieved, is Mitchell at the 1, Rudy at the 5, and an athletic/dynamic/two-way wing in between them. Bogey is a floor-spacer at the 4 and not much more. Jingles and Royce are basically just rotation players and glue guys.

Jazz are one impact player away from being serious, and that player isn't Mike Conley.

None of that will happen. How does cutting someone improve this team anyway?

And again, you're right Mitchell busted his a**. But it was just to score. His defense was abysmal and he showed no effort on that end.

Effort level on defense is our problem rn. Not enough guys give a ****. We're just trying to outscore the other team.

Yeah having a grumpy face and scoring when your team already lost the game isn't what I would call competing. Mitchell is doing what Booker was laughed at for.

There are way too many guys who think the solution to our issues is by them scoring more. Even Rudy demanding the ball. That's how they all believe they will help the team win, by scoring.

And yet, every single post game interview they acknowledge that the issue is that they didn't compete on defense. Quin says this, every player says. When will the players take initiative and put the onus on themselves to compete on defense? It hasn't happened yet. When they say "we" need to play harder on defense, they're really thinking the other guys need to play defense.

I really like Donovan but he's no LeBron. He can't do it alone and looks as if he's not going to get any help from this gutless group.

I take no joy in watching Conley play like he is right now. Tonight he had only 1 assist, 3 turnovers, 8 points with zero 3pt shots, and 3 fouls trying to guard Rubio. He didn't run the offense, he didn't have much gravity making guys guard him, and he had no defensive presence whatsoever. Guys did whatever they wanted against him.

What was he supposed to do? Coach pulls him after every other play, particularly a missed shot, how do you get any rhythm. 22 stinkin minutes. Clarkson got more minutes than he did again. O'Neale got more minutes. And this is the guy we sold our souls to get. There's always a bigger picture that I think a lot of people are oblivious to.
