What's new

Jazz vs Mavericks | Friday December 3rd @ 8:30pm

But I forget, the 3-point shot is overrated. Thanks TT.

If anyone knows my long-held views of Okur, this will be shocking; I'm dying to have Memo back.

Memo, I'm sorry buddy. We need you. Get your leg back to 100%. We need your size, strength, post-D, boxing out, and shooting.

Bright spots: Earl looked good once again. What a solid back up point guard we have. Even though his shot was off he had 5 dimes, and 4 boards.
I'll take it. He found a way to contribute.

Fes - 2 nice offensive moves, and SEVEN, yes SEVEN rebounds. That's 5 more than Boozer had tonight ;-)
His problem is like Miles though. Can he become more consistent. It's obvious there is talent there.

Big AL + Sap - for the most part they did their part. 39 pts, 4 blocks, 15 boards should be good enough most nights.

The Bad:
Bell. Wow. Not a zone buster. 28 mins = 2 pts? from our starting 2 guard? ouch dude. Go Jazz's 7 year old can make more shots than you.

Zone busting. Speaking of the zone, we sucked against it tonight. No one could hit a jumper. Deron and Bell were off. No Korver, nothing.

Deron Williams - quite simply an off night from the all-star. He's allowed these games once in awhile. It's too bad it happened last night though.
We could have used some scoring from Willy.

Cj Miles - not really bad, just meh. Hit a couple 3s then airballed some. Just all over the place, and not giving us anything consistent.

Dissappointing loss, but one I can live with. The Mavs played well in the 2nd half, and the refs gave them most of the calls.
Got to learn from this, and move on.

Apology accepted and really no apology needed I don't really blame you it was those damn jinx posts that got screwed up that did it.

Oh and if by "thread" you mean every thread and everything in your life up to this point I agree. If by "failure" you mean complete and utter epic fail then yes I also agree and by "Jazzfanzz" you mean everybody and anything that has ever existed then yes again I agree.

Thanks....for completely ruining my Saturday.

No mention of AK?

He and Bell were completely missing in action. Which is weird since AK had been playing pretty well as of late.

Our frontline did their job. Our backcourt was on vacation.

Hold on, hold on, hold on. It's CJ's fault the Jazz shot 21% from 3 because he shot significantly better than 21% from 3? Are you that stupid or do you just blindly hate CJ that much?

Heaven forbid I expect our shooting guard to shoot better than 2-6 from 3 point land.

When you look at our active roster, who other than Deron should hit the 3 point ball consistently? Raja's old, Hayward isn't a 3 point proven shooter, Watson and Price aren't threats, AK is a joke, and Millsap... well he's just unproven.

CJ and Deron are our zone busters right now whether we like it or not. Maybe once we get Memo back we'll have 3.

CJ had nearly half our 3 point attempts also.

So yeah, CJ sucked. But so did AK and Raja. It also didn't help that Deron was outplayed by Kidd and the lil 4 foot Spaniard.

...well, look at it this way....at least it's good to know the Lakers won't be waltzing through the West this year like they have the last couple of years. They have gotten worse...and the Spurs, Mav's and us have gotten better.

If CJ would have hit one more three, he would have been 3-6, 50% which is as good as you can ever expect and we still would have lost. GTFO.

Not to read too much into one game and a great defensive game by Dallas, but it looked like the Jazz were exposed again as playoff chumps. The bigs are too small and the wings can't shoot. Take care of Deron and the Jazz can look pretty bad. The bench brings energy but not enough firepower: Elson and Fes are not scorers and RP and Price are not shooters. And why not get Sap to shoot some more threes, especially when they pack in the zone.

You see, O Gat, these simple words above totally crush your logic.

Let me suggest something to you that must have been suggested thousands of times: stop looking for the coherence in your own over-reaction. In other words, stop being an asscooker that seeks to justify his own hot-headedness. Those that share social space with you would greatly appreciate it.

again.
