I think this is the case... maybe wanted Niang to get one more stint before getting yanked... that stint... did not go well.

Morgan just looks like he moves well enough to guard on the perimeter when he is switched out and he kind of stone walled a couple guys and had a nice block/strip. That bad pass he caught from DM, I think it was to another player, was low key impressive... at least for our bigs. He also got his hands on another ball... was called for a foul but it looked fairly clean. Based on his block steal average in the g league he might be one of those guys that just has awesome instincts and hands.

I think he needs to play somewhere in the rotation. Niang's shooting does give us something so I'm not 100% sure it should be him, but the Niang Bradley frontcourt will bleed points. I think Morgan is an improvement over both.

Yeah, but what if Brantley is also better than Niang. And Bradley. I wanna see if that’s true.

I'm cool with it... like I've said other places Niang looks slower and bigger than last year... he has no margin there so he needs to really drop every bit of bad weight he can.

I just thought Morgan was effective and he didn't really do anything on offense. Now that the bench unit consist of Clarkson, Mudiay, mixed with DM they should be able to score and need defenders out there to help. Bradley bothered some shots at the rim in the second half... Just stand there Tony don't bring your arms down at all and you will be effective at times for hell's sake... Morgan gets down in a stance and can take contact... he also finished out by contesting. I think he is the right type of player for the second unit... get him out there however you can.
 
I like Brantley too, but I get that he has some bull **** to his game that likely doesn't work in the big leagues. He is intriguing and has some upside for sure. I think Morgan has upside, but is a low floor proposition too... kinda best of both worlds as far as prospects go. I'm not sure he knew where to be on offense a couple times, but I am not an X's O'x master so he may have been in the right place or the other guy may have been wrong... or it was exactly where he was supposed to be.... just looked goofy.

I want Morgan to get the most minutes of the bench bigs period... give it 5 games and see what it looks like. JC is gonna carry those units offensively and Morgan can add some defense.

QS should make him walk around with his hands up all day. When he defends with his hands in front of him it's an endless march to the FT line.

Favors had the same exact problem when he first came into the league.

Or just out to the side... I understand why his hands were down bracing for contact against Drummond because that guy is going to bury his shoulder in you and you need to brace yourself... its like when you are pulled over... show them yo damn hands so they know what's going on.

He came out on D Rose in the second half with his hands straight up and Rose bricked it off the glass... I need more of that. If they score over you then fine.

I don't have big expectations but Bradley does some things well for his size... he's fast for a guy that is a dinosaur... it shows up when defending on the perimeter at times, but mostly when he sprints out. He is big and seems to have decent enough hands to rebound and finish around the basket... those are things Ed was not doing. Tony has to look competent though and there are times he is just lost. I think he knows this is his shot and Quin has a vet waiting to give the job back to... so I think he's trying to do too much or overthink it. His little mid floater on the pick and roll looks solid too... just don't fall in love with it.

Agreed. Play Morgan 8-12 minutes a game. Embrace his mistakes. Teach him in-game and post-game. Don’t yank him out. Know it’ll be a process and look for incremental improvement every 10 games. But develop him now so that if Bradley plateaus, becomes a liability and/or sucks in the playoffs, we have another option who’s more game ready.
