Kenny, not surprised. He was really disappointing in Vegas. I was bullish on him but he did not seem to mature over the summer. All the talk is about his body/weight….but he didn’t improve enough between the ears.
I wish we brought Bazley into camp at least. 11/10 hustle guy who plays like a football player.

Thought the Jazz may be willing to let them get partially guaranteed. Would have only been 600k to cut.
Guessing they wait to just sign whoever is left over after it becomes clear who is and isn't traded.

Surprised by letting Bazley go, but Lofton Jr are quite understandable. I was thinking Lofton would easily handle the summer league but he struggled immensely.

To save $600k on two guys that likely aren't on the final roster.
Still a little sad. Kenny deserved it but I had high hopes he could be a fun thicc baller to help us with entertainment through the tank. He was awful in SL doe.
Bazley... whatevs. Likely finds a home and may still find his way back later. Maybe they got their eyes on a guy or two that popped in SL.

My thought watching both guys was that neither appeared to be better than the likes of Potter, Yurt7, Luka, THT or Kira Lewis. I'm sure there are a bunch of guys at tha talent level out there.

Purple is estimated since actual terms weren't released. Eubanks, for example, was 2/10 but could be with or without a raise.
That's $108,075,821. Salary floor is $126,529,000, a difference of $18,453,179. I'm sure Filipowski will sign for a couple million, so let's say there's around $16MM to get to the salary floor. That's the amount needed to get Markkanen to the appropriate max extension number.
Leaves 14MM or so for the last two roster spots if so desired.

Is Filipowski really not signed yet? Isn't it pretty rare for a player to play SL without a contract when they are an early 2nd round pick?
