Jazz Will Beat The Warriors On Wednesday 7 PM MT 03/30/16

Reason this game was hard for me, and from the comments I am assuming others, is that the Jazz lost it at the FT line. 40 something %? Give me a break. Jazz missed 15+ FTs in the 4th. 15+! They make them at the season average and the Jazz would have won by 8 or so...

What is interesting about this game is that the Jazz show that they match up well with the Warriors and if they are healthy come playoff time -- Burks back, Favors is ok, I think there is a possibility for an upset. We totally outplayed them last night and if we could've made our free throws would've won by a comfortable margin, regardless of the bad calls -- and that's without Burks and Favors (for half the game), and Exum, as well.

Last night would've been such a huge mental hurdle to cross for us. And we clipped the 10th hurdle with our toe and fell flat on our fucing face.

This. I'm tired of moral victories. We're like 6-0 in those right now, but it counts for **** all in the actual standings, where we are again under .500. This is not a learning experience of any kind, because our team never learns, apparently. If anyone learned anything from games like this, it wouldn't keep happening. Over and over. It makes no difference how close you can get to beating the Warriors if you can't actually beat the Warriors. It make no difference whether we lost by 48 last night or because of an offensive rebound on the last possession.

And speculating about what would have happened if Favors wasn't hurt or Burks played or Burke played is pointless. You cannot change variables and expect nothing else to change. The point is that no matter what happens, no matter how good you are, there will always be close games and you need to find a way to win them. The Warriors are about the break the record for games won in a season, and they have still been involved in 6 overtime games. That's almost 1-in-10. I'm sure you all saw the infographic last night showing how they did in those games.

Just win these damn games. No excuses. Just win them. And if the current coach can't get the players to do it(and he obviously can't and is in over his head Dubya style) then get someone who can. Quickly.

I have gotten pretty good about not getting to happy or upset after most wins or losses as I have gotten older.

But last nights loss kicked my ***. I feel like I have a hangover today and I didn't even drink. Had a helluva time getting to sleep last night. Im bummed and feeling like crap today from that loss last night. Sucks.

Yup id feel better with a blow out, not by choking a game we had and should have won. Free throws, turnovers and horrendous playcalls out of the huddle for the last play in regulation.
I feel the opposite. We almost pulled out that win despite so many errors. If we had it would have been pandemonium around here. I'll take the chance at victory over a blowout loss every time, no question.

Is it not the job of a coach, among other things, to mentally prepare the players?
Maybe he did everything he could to mentally prepare them. It's something that can't be quantified. We don't know that if greg popovich was coaching last night that the free throws would have went in.

The players have to make them. They didn't. It was an off night.

Anyways. That's enough Jazzfanz for me. Coach Popp would love a game like this-- showing his team that they can compete with the rest of them, while also pointing out how they can't cut corners on the fundamentals. And really there isn't a better time, and a better way to show this lesson. This is the sort of loss that'll stick with you for the rest of your career-- and that's important for so many of our young guys.

The Jazz have come a hell of a long way. Through extended injuries to Derrick, Rudy, Alec, and Dante-- they're still playoff-seeded, and still winning huge games on the road against playoff teams in the mix with them.

This team is an easy 5th seed with a healthy roster, which few would have predicted. Hell, we can almost get 5th even after all of these ****ing injuries.

Our wings are hitting game-winners, and our PG play is almost approaching mediocrity (saying lots). It took GSW an injured FTs and 16 missed FTs to beat us. I'm fine with that any day of the week.
Great post. At least there are a few sane fans on this board.

Cheer up, bro! We almost got the champs. Yeah it hurts worse because we beat ourselves. But it bodes well for a playoff win against GSW. Of all the remaining games we didn't expect to win this or the SAS game. Still on track.
