Jazz will draft Chris Singleton at #12 if he is available

All I gotta say is be careful drafting a wing that struggles offensively.....

Next year's class of wings look far more promising. Why not wait until next year to actually get a wing that we want?
Someone that can play both ends of the court?

At 12, there are certainly some intriguing prospects available. Klay Thompson, Donta, maybe Biyombo, Donta (at 12 he'd be a steal. It's worth a shot at least!).

This.
Although I wouldn't mind the Jazz acquiring another pick to grab Jimmy Butler (dubbed Wes Matthews 2.0).

Thompson and DoMo are defensive liabilities. BiBo is an offensive liability. Don't see how these guys are good examples of how not to draft one sided players.

Are you stupid?

Thompson is a potential 20+ point scorer. DoMo is 7 feet tall with skills (you don't pass up on these). And Biyombo at 12 is worth considering. An extremely young big man who can rebound and block shots is a better prospect than a wing that struggles to play offense after a few years of college.

Just a comparison... Ronnie Brewer or Tyson Chandler? Who would you pick?

That's why I say Biyombo at 12 is worth considering over Singleton. Defensive bigs>defensive wings.

Singleton shot 36% from 3 last season. It's not like this guy is a complete dud from 3. Also take into account he was his teams leading scorer, meaning he was the main focus of opponents defense. He will benefit from being set up. Not saying he will be a knock down 3 point shooter, but don't compare him to Brewer.

Childish flame warrior-isms went out of style about the same time Chuck Norris stopped being funny. The fact is you've been ranting about how you want a balanced wing player and Thompson especially out of those guys is a perfect example of a one sided wing. That the other two heavily favor one side of the court just made them bad examples, not necessarily bad players.

Rex provided a pretty good argument that Singleton can make shots off of screens which would be good enough for the Flex. Maybe you should stick to one cup of coffee, big guy.

Donatas is also a 7'1 player who can't rebound and doesn't like to play defense, so he is just as flawed as Singleton, if not more so.

Also, if we draft Singleton we will likely not resign AK, which will probably make many people on this board very happy.

Singleton reminds me of a young AK - I wouldn't mind him at 12. It'd be nice to have one good defender on our team (and Singleton will definitely be a good defender, and GH and Favors will get better, as well).

Of course, who we draft at 3 will dictate who we draft at 12...
