What's new

Jazz working out Dallas Lauderdale (7.6" wingspan)

Mix between Priest Lauderdale and Lawrence Funderburke.

Great hands, good footwork in the post, but not a strong player by any means.

Could have a Samaki Walker type career.

I know its a highlight real but wow i am impressed with his footwork on defense. The guy is great at keeping position. His blocks were really good but most guys get blocks helping from weakside or getting beat and blocking the shot.
This guy was blocking while facing them. They weren't getting around him. Blown away by his footwork.
He is a quick finisher the way Jeremy Evans is too. Not a way high jumper but he dunks quickly and gets his hook shots off quickly also. Need that in the NBA.

Offensive game needs work but if he never improves his defense is worth a look for sure.

Based on this video, he has superior positional defense along with great timing. Usually quick timing on blocks also translates well towards being a good alley-oop finisher; the video shows this as well. Positional defense and knowing when to block and not jump is key to being a great defender -- That shows discipline and dedication to playing great overall defense. His post-up spin moves and footwork are actually really good. I'm surprised we haven't heard more from him before now. Maybe his size made people shy away because he plays more like a center? Still, I think he could be a great pickup for the Jazz.

I don't see a need for another big. The Jazz have five bigs right now. Kanter, Favors, Biendris, Gobert and Evans. Where has he been playing pro ball? I see both Gobert and Evans providing what he provides. I am glad the Lindsey is still searching but I am starting to be afraid that the Jazz will do what the Jazz always do bring in inferior veteran talent and play them over our young guys. I would rather Gobert play than this guy.

Why are all Lauderdale's extremely tall?

Dallas can press Priest between his hands.

Wow. Color me impressed. I assume the Jazz workout will show them what they need, but from the videos I think it
'd be great to have him down the bench. You're not going to get that kind of D from A.B.

Dennis Lindsey should be a Fantasy Football player---he'd be that guy that finds every deep sleeper. He just needs a few more roster spots.

He did say on the radio that they were going to have a bunch of guys in to work out and suggested that it was a tool to get the young guys more playing time and practice. The NBA limits how many contracted Jazz players can participate in unofficial practices so they bring in the FA's for practise time and to see who they want to invite to training camp.

Reality check. This guy sucks pretty bad. Averaged 2.9 ppg and 3 rebounds in the Polish league in 2012. Amazing they were able to scrap that many highlights together in the above video.

Ne never saw the court with the Idaho Stampede because of injury. I think there are better DLeaguers uut there.

7.6" wingspan? What is he from lilliput?
