- 3x NBA MVP
- 1x NBA Champion
- 1x NBA Finals MVP
- 8x NBA All-Star
- 8x All-NBA Honors
- 4x All-Defensive Teams
- fun stat: averaged the most assists over the course of a season by a forward ever with 8.6 in 2009-10 (broke Larry Bird's record).
- the body of Malone, passing ability of Magic, scoring of Jordan (okay, not quite).
This past season, Lebron became just the second player to ever win NBA MVP of the regular season, NBA-Finals MVP, and an Olympic Gold Medal in the same season. Can you guess who the other was?
Lebron had an absolutely flawless performance this post season, posting triple doubles, 40+ point games, playing/guarding every position, and coming up big in clutch moments. In this post season, he averaged 30 points, 10 rebounds, 6 assists.
On picking him over Kobe:
-Lebron has superior career averages in points, rebounds, assists, blocks, and steals.
-Kobe's best statistcal post season was in 2007 when he averaged 33 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists. 30/10/6 > 33/5/4...not to mention, Kobe didn't even win the title that particular year.
-Lebron will work better on a super-team, imo, due to his versatility.
Magic on Lebron after the 2012 Finals:
"Before, my biggest knock on LeBron was he was just playing off his God gifted talent. He was just the best athlete. But he didn't play with his head to match that. Now he's playing with his talent and with his head, and wow, watch out. This guy is going to set the league on fire for a long time."
