JazzFanz Newz - franklin setting him self up to win this.

If the Jazz can win the NBA championship, I don't care who is coaching them. But I can never be persuaded that up to this point that Corbin has done a good job of coaching.

We all know every single person Jazzfanz except franklin , hates Ty Corbin.

franklin is setting himself to look like a genius for going against the grain and defending Corbin this whole time.

Think about, Corbin isnt going anywhere. If you think that, you dont know the franchise very well. Corbin is part of what will soon be called "the Sloan coaching tree". The Jazz have Jerry's word that Corbin can do this. They will see this through for a long time.

He will have success with this. A coach is really no better than the talent he has. He's got good pieces now. The Jazz will win, and it will be decided that he is a good coach. Thats how it works, mostly.

Ive kind of been indifferent about him. Hating him sometimes and sometimes defending him. Im more of a GM hater. So I never really thought he was in the wrong with his minutes decisions since he has been here. He has had some dumb squads. Like ones with Al Jefferson on it.

We can all see what the offense looks like now that we got players that can run it and suddenly it looks like he can teach. Its getting tougher and tougher to make an argument he sucks.

You should go to the St George meeting and kick his *** fair and square.

Speak for yourself. I don't hate Corbin. Geez some Jazzfanz are way over the top with their hate for Corbin. It is like he killed a member of your family. Is he a HOF coach? No but he has done a very good job this year. Now that the Jazz are winning more people are pissed because he is wrecking the tank. When the Jazz were losing he was the worse coach in history. Whether the Jazz bring him back is still up in the air. I know one thing is sure, if they do bring him back there are going to be a lot of Jazzfanz with egg on their face.

Time will tell if Corbin comes back but I wouldn't be shocked if he does comeback. Ty is dealing with the hand the organization gave him. I would want him back just to see the board have a meltdown. However, if he does go I will wish him well and hope he lands on his feet. The guy is a nice guy and human-being and deserves better from Jazz nation.

Not that I expect it, but if Trey Burke ever became "Steve Nash or Chris Paul" good, I could see The Jazz winning 50+ games with Corbin as HC. Mike D'Antoni and Byron Scott are two vastly over-rated coaches that happened to latch on to all-star talent. This could happen to Corbin as well - but I wouldn't count on it. Jazz are a small market team with a small market mind-set. They need a coach that can get the team to perform above the sum of its parts - Corbin is clearly not that guy.

I am not a Corbin fan but I do not hate him. I think he is learning and becoming a better coach. However, I do not want him to return next year.

Defense sucks.

Someone needs to fix this, starting with a boot up Hayward's ***. Corbin's lack of team defense will get him fired eventually, I'm all but certain. It's too bad because he has an excellent offensive mind and is top notch at individual player development.

The pnr is even worse now that they've switched to Blue coverage because that's all they do. During the Wizards game, Wall re-set on Nene's screen to go paint side and Marvin stayed down instead of flashing up on Wall. Him standing there flatfooted opened the court wide up.

Also, when Trey or Hayward get beat badly on pnr they fail to switch to cut off passing lanes and keep pursuing a guy who's three steps in front of them and already covered by TWO Jazz bigs deep in the paint. Cut off the freaking passing lanes and force the point guard to take those tough shots against Kanter and Favors instead of an easy reach around pass for an easy dunk or flip back for the pick-and-pop. Trey is young but Hayward has no excuses for this lazy d.

I've actually hated Ty the least this season, and don't even have any huge complaints about him. But I still don't see anything in him that screams an elite or even great HC, and the past two seasons really soured me on him as well. I still think he's a little too in love with the vets, but this year the roster forces him not to be.
