For me, it's about seeing an uncommon talent (long, athletic 6' 6" guard that can handle the ball, get to the rim, make tough shots around the rim, get the line, can hit long open shots, boards very well, and can do some nice facilitation along the way) not get a fair chance. I've said since before the 2011 season that Burks is more of a boom/bust pick because of his skillset, and it would be hard to part with a talent that might boom before he got a fair shake and I simply do not feel that he has. The worst I've seen him play was when he was thrown into garbage time at the beginning of last year after getting unceremoniously buried behind mediocre journeyman (for the second straight year).
If Burke is going to get a fair shake, we will need to run a system that plays to his strengths. By that I don't mean bring back Foye and let him eat up 90% of the time that Burke should be on the floor.
Burke is exciting to watch, and makes things happen. When (if) he gets a chance to improve he will have a great impact on a team. It just may not be the Jazz...
