Jeff Teague is a RFA this offseason and had put together a very nice season this year.

Averaging 14 pts, 7 ast, 2 rebs on 45% FG, 35% 3FG, 88% FT.

Will ATL match the max for him? Will the Jazz make a run at him? Should the Jazz attempt to max him out?

I can't find a Jeff Teague thread so here we go.

Color me inTeague'd. Oooooooooo. Go****yourself.

I like him, don't love him, have a feeling Jazzfanz would start to kill him about 20 games into the season ........ Most likely not willing to match the other offers he's going to get.

If you like him then you probably like Jennings too:

FG- 40% FT- 82% 3pt- 38% 17.5ppg and 6.5apg and 3.1rpg

The hell do we just see names and assume they're bad players?

Teague shot near 50 percent this year.

And it's funny how everybody starts looking at the free agents halfway through the offseason. You guys don't know ****.

Sure, we can round 45% shooting up to 50% if you'd like to. Just look at the numbers and those two are not far off.

uhhh, the op said we should offer him the Max. At this point, Teague is more comparable to Jennings than CP3 or D Rose. CP3 and D Rose are max players. Teague is not. In my opinion, it is a pretty apt comparison.

I would give Teague around 10 million.

Not a particularly awesome scorer, doesn't really get to the FT line, but is a good shooter and doesn't take too many bad shots (from looking at the stats).

Not a particularly awesome passer either. The guy has AL Horford and Josh Smith on his team and averages 7.2 APG. Good, not great.

Teague is not a top tier PG in the league. That doesn't make him a bad player but he is not the right guy for us to build around with our C4.

I think the general consensus is that we can't pay him a fair amount, because ATL would match.

I've moved on.

Atlanta has more cap space than the Jazz. It would take money nobody should be paying to pry him away, and I'd rather not be that team. But I definitely like him.

Wat? He's a 3rd year player, trending on par with Hayward and Favors. In fact better, statistically speaking.
