His strengths are not that of a SF, and his weaknesses are worst as a PF. A most curious and extreme case of a tweener.
If he wants to be a real player in this league, he'll do it primarily as a SF (provided he can even play it). Or as a backup PF on a team depleted of bigs.
I think it would be interesting to see how Evans would play as a SF. I know he's a little tall but he doesn't have the same body size as other PF's in the league.
Height doesn't matter. Look at Kevin Durant. Same basic height as Evans. But KD has game coming out his wazoo. Evans has very little game (or should I say, a narrow skill set?) Anyway, if he had the shot and the handles of Durant, with a little more bulk, he'd be a force to be reckoned with. As it is, he's a nice little energy guy, now and then.
