Jerome Randle: 2nd round steal?

A big, physical PG that you bitch about with some regularity about not being fast enough. Randle's easily one of the fastest guy's in this entire draft (probably the fastest). And being undersized at PG should be one of the last concerns for the position as it's manned by the smallest guys on the court. If Brevin Knight can not only hold his own but be considered a very good defender for 13 seasons in the NBA, I see absolutely no reason why Randle's size should be such an issue.

Randle would give the Jazz good backup minutes and in general give the team something it doesn't have (elite speed), and something it severely lacks (more than one player that can make something happen with the ball in their hands).

If you give me the choice between a beanpole with no length that is a great playmaker but can't shoot and has underwhelming speed (Maynor), and a guy that's 5 inches shorter but the same weight and can actually force the defense to pay attention with his speed, passing ability, and shooting, I take the latter.

I think Randle would fit right in with the jazz. The way we used Price we could use Randle, he has longer shooting range then Price and he is a better play maker overall. He'll come into the league with a chip on his shoulder ready to prove people wrong.

Shouldn't most second rounder come with a 'chip' on their shoulder then?

I'd rather take a flyer on Paul Millsap's brother in the 2nd round.

I really don't think we will have to draft Elijah Millsap. Wesley Matthews is/was a better player and he didn't get drafted. Wingman who struggle dribbling and shooting from long distance have to claw their way in the league--he reminds a lot of Jeffers.

Plus, who knows if the Jazz would have even kept Welsey if it weren't for a few things like CJ breaking his thumb and Paul Harris hadn't hurt his ankle or knee. I forget what it was.
