The Kings didn't pick up his option. Let's break the bank on him. Sort of reminds me when the Jazz did the same with Morris Almond.
I'm beyond disappointed to learn homey is just a troll.
I had a vision of some old dude anxiously pouring over D League box scores every morning.
Damn.

I wonder if anyone is going to sign Jimmer. Think his time in the NBA is up?
I'm sure someone will give it a shot. He hasn't been given a fair chance.
Please don't let that team be the Jazz. Please. Please. Please.

If you are a GM, and you have the vet minimum to spend, will you spend it on an undersized, unathletic, slow, non-defensive, with no ability to run an offense...or someone else?
He is probably done.
I'm not a fan of BYU or of Jimmer, but I don't dislike the guy either.Eww^
You couldn't be more wrong. Worst case is that he creates a few extra wins, costs us a few spots in the draft, takes playing time from players who have the potential to develop and become key long-term contributors to the team and becomes virtually impossible to cut or even keep on the bench because his fanboys are constantly chanting for him to be subbed into the game. Best case is that the FO never opens this can of worms. It depends on how many jerseys he can sell. I said before that I'm not worried about the distractions. His measly contract is peanuts compared to what he'd generate in revenue and interest. Don't forget that we're talking about a multi-million dollar business and a bottom of the roster depth signing.
While I haven't been terribly impressed with his productivity, it's amazing what a change of scenery can do for young players in the right situation. If he can shoot the ball in a limited role it's an improvement over what they have now.
I'd be okay with it simply because it would increase fan interest. Can he be any worse than Tinsley or JLIII? Nope. Not even close. Best case scenario is that he's a great fit as a reserve SG behind Hayward and helps add points in limited minutes. Worst case scenario is that he flames out and they cut him. He's not getting big money, and there's a low risk vs. reward.

Were you at Jimmer's first game back in Utah? Do you agree with Ellis that the worst case scenario is that he doesn't work out and they cut him? That's like the worst case, most dramatic scenario here. There's almost no risk in the situation you just described, and quite frankly the fanboy crap isn't realistic.
