Without looking it up, I think Redick makes far too much for what he brings to the table and Bass is sort of Millsap-ish (right?) so why trade the latter in the first place if that's the case.
Yep - if they weren't willing to give Korver 5 mil, why the hell would they take on Riddick who makes 6+ mill?
I love the logic that the Jazz have too many bigs, so they should trade one big and pick up another.
Umm Reddick is a better player than Korver. I would not mind Reddick But I agree with Numberica why trade a big then pick another back up. We have plenty of bigs.
Oh cool, so the Jazz - presumably in order to get better - trade away the best player in the deal (by far) BECAUSE they're getting a backup.Apparently logic isn't your strong suit. If what we are hearing is true the Jazz want to move Millsap or Jefferson so they can start Favors. Bass is a backup and would play backup minutes. Unlike Jerfferson and Millsap.
Basically you are trading a starter for two quality rotation players.

Clearly, I am the one lacking the logic.

Which is why - considering that Millsap contributes to winning like an all-star - the Jazz shouldn't be in a hurry to dump him for scraps. You are getting two players for one. Of course the one player getting traded would be considered the best of the three.
Jazz aren't getting an all-star with a Millsap trade. Sorry to break the news.
Those are the two players the Jazz should target if they end up moving Millsap or Jefferson. Redick gives them a reliable shooter and Bass is a quality big. Plus both are still young and can grow with the team.
You deem your opposition as "everyone" because they are your opposition. Maybe the way I view the situation is the same as yours, but I'm pretty sure most people see Millsap as the odd man out and Jefferson just needs one more chance because he hasn't already had 5.Why is everyone so set on moving Jefferson. I think he is set to have a great year. I can understand why Milsap can be moved because we all know that is favors spot and he is part of the future of this team plus could clear up some cap space but Jefferson is a quality big right now while the rookie develops. And this is a question because I have to be missing something. Thanks guys.
