Regardless of indications, it's hard to fault people for being skeptical that he'd finally come over SEVEN years after being drafted.

Yes, trading for the national player of the year for a position of need would indeed be horrible. Maybe no Tomic will end up being a big break if it causes us to get someone better. Glass is half full right?

Don't get me wrong. I would like him on the team. But I certainly don't want to trade current assets to go and get him. The guy has definite defensive liabilities.

Well, this time he's actually truly dead NBA wise, three years from now he will be starting to decline, so his NBA 'aspirations' (if musing on maybe someday can be called an aspiration) will be over, nobody will want a declining Euro player to join their team at his price.

I think the biggest issue was taxes. 3 million in Europe is equivalent to 6 million here because of taxes. The question for atomic is do you leave home for roughly the same money in another country?

Most of us would stay in Europe.
