John Stockton’s dirty little secret

TLDW version is Stockton rarely used his left hand for dribbling, shooting or passing and thus doesn't deserve to be mentioned along with the greats.

It's clearly not his left hand idiot. When he sets screens where does he put them, hmmm? Over his crotch in the center of his body.

Just like it’s true that you can’t believe everything you read on the internet, it’s equally true for stats. Had Stockton shot more threes the point difference would’ve been much closer. What isn’t close is assists and steals and fg%.

You’re every bit as bad as an espn analyst who don’t bother to watch games but only look at stats, and completely ignore the different era’s, lets not forget the rules of today are much more conducive to offense, no hand checking and less physical with more spacing. Just watching the two play, Stockton had the more diverse game. Stockton was a better shooter finisher passer and defender, and the most important category, he was a better winner and more clutch.

And you need to turn in your fan card, not because you idiotically think his stats are better but becauseyou deliberately chose the year before when Stockton had a lesser season, that’s why!!

And your anidiot because of your blind faith in pure stats, thread!!!!

You obviously can't read stats very well since those things aren't true.

And lol at he just needed to shoot more and he would have had more points. By that logic CP3 just needed to pass more and he would have had more assists.

I don't out blind faith in stats.gain Hence why I think Stockton is better.

An no, I don't need to turn in my fan card.

Frankly you are too young to have even watched and appreciated Stockton. He was before your day.

Lmao. First, started watching Stockton in 88 dumbass!!

Second It’s a straight fact that teams and individual players shot less three’s. I never said Stockton shot less shots all together I said he shot less three’s and you can’t deny that had Stockton played during Paul’s era, he would’ve shot more three’s. Has everything to do with time period and circumstance

Maybe he would have shot more but passed less. He also would have shot worse if he shot more. Also you were like 10 in 88, too young to know what's happening.

And 13 when he had his best season. His games are burned into my brain, and never leaving.

Nah, your memories from that age aren't accurate. You remember what you want to remember.

That’s where you and I are different. Even at the age of ten I ate, slept, and bleed jazz basketball. In those days they played on the local channel KJazz, and only about half the games were televised, so when they weren’t what was a diehard fan to do but listen to the game on the radio. While I listened to Hot Rod sing his sweet jazz poetry my brain formed the images as to what happened from listening to Hot’s call. I was every bit the fan then as I am now. I remember!!

So its sounds like you have rose colored glasses of fond times for you. Thats great, it was a fun time to watch the Jazz.

This is a YouTube slander video about Stockton called what was John Stockton’s dirty little secret. He basically calls him a fraud.

Since I obviously don’t tweet, can someone tweet him and tell him I said he’s an idiot.

Warning, it’s a long *** video

Is it the nonsense about the home scorekeeping? So stupid. His career splits weren't much greater from home than away, and the Jazz were a historically much better home team than a road team in his career.

Huh. Those stats seem to show that CP took more shots than Stockton, but Stockton shot a higher efg and had more assists, the only definitive advantage Paul had was in rebounds.

Stock had more steals too. He was just the better player
