The question is if Stockton wants to coach. I agree, seems like a possibility now more than ever before.

I wouldn't put the odds of Stockton wanting to coach at greater than 10%, but if he did he would be great.

There is a lot he has to learn. Playing b-ball and coaching b-ball are vastly different.

What odds would you have put on him writing and then going on a promotional tour for a book? Did you think you'd hear him talking on national media outlets long after his playing career ended? I'd put the odds of him wanting to coach at 70% (maybe higher). He's a type A personality who is probably extremely happy about how involved he was able to be in his children's lives as the result of his financial situation, but now the kids are mostly (if not completely) out of the house. I could easily imagine him looking for a challenge, and winning an NBA championship might be the perfect one because in many ways the quest would be a continuation of the goal that just barely eluded his grasp during his playing days. Also, I doubt there's a team he'd rather coach than the Jazz. If he's ever going to do it it's difficult to imagine that the stars could ever come into better alignment than they are going to this summer.
 
You guys are in love with the past. I want a great future. Why would he be the absolute best coaching candidate you could come up with? He has no track record.

I agree on the book tour thing. Was SHOCKED at all the promotion he did.

Stockton + Wuggins = Championship in under 5 years.

If they handed out usernames in Alphabetical order according to how good you were at evaluating future coaches, your username would be zman1527.

Been gone from this forum for awhile so it seemed to me you had dropped off the face of the earth. Whats up guy? Trying to foment a little racial disharmony here? Both threads i looked at today have a post from you trying to suggest that race is an issue here there and everywhere and especially in Jazztown. Well not so much. The color of a persons skin may occur to you on a daily basis but many, many people don't give a fig about the subject. I truly like and admire every person of color on our team and i am especially fond of Favors, Burke, Burks and Hayward. Also Gobert and Raul Neto. Not saying you are the devil's advocate, but Grandpa will watch ya. Still not a fan of Devin Harris by the way, nor was i when he was here.
