SLTrib broke it though. I doubt they would troll their own readers. Especially after GH's debacle on the fourth.

Tony Jones never struck me as the kind of guy that would do that.

If Jazz have to give up draft picks for this would anybody still do this and give Celts more picks

It becomes apparent to me that teams might just want to tell Danny Ainge to screw himself. What if NOBODY does a deal for Crowder. Does Haywood sign for a discount? Most of the teams with remaining cap space are angling for something bigger than Crowder.

Crowder at 7m (less than the MLE) is an absolute steal. Multiple position defender, good 3 point shooter.

I'd throw in a 2nd round pick or rights to somebody or something so we could get Crowder. A 1st round pick is too bad of a look.

Theory: The leak happened and Bartelstein went into damage control mode. DL was pissed, but Bart talked him into lying for him so they could announce it themselves. He told them he would get Ainge to agree to a S&T if the Jazz just played ball and acted like no real decision had been made.

**** it...I'll get my hopes up again, my balls are destroyed after yesterday, another kick won't affect me at this point...

I can see this being how it went down.

It's funny that Ainge didn't clear space to make room for Hayward earlier. Sure they didn't know if Hayward's coming, but isn't this summer supposed be the time when Ainge put together a super team using the assets they've got? So Ainge isn't ready to win now after all. Or else why would he pick 2 more young SF's on draft night? I guess it's never too late to Trust the Process
