You are correct about 6 shots not being that much. Dont know why I felt like he was pushing the envelope, but box score does seem to argue with that.
I felt the same way at you and am surprised at the only 6 shots thing.

I think his attempts all were pretty early though. And way off. Everything was way short (though I do think he was hit on the forearm on one of his jumpers which caused a way short air ball)

I think we need to all calm down.

Summer League games are no more than “glorified pick up games”.

Guys like Hendricks play better when proper plays are being run as was seen last season when he shined in our offense in specific 3 and D roles.

We’re all overreacting a little here I think.

For both teams, though.

I'm not worried about our first and second year players not looking great against NBA vets. That's to be expected. I'm worried about them looking like garbage against other first and second year players and 30-year-olds with no realistic chance of making the NBA.

it’s just that some players seem to thrive in that free flowing “dribble drive I’m gonna get mine” mindset. Guys like GG jackson comes to mind.

Hendricks doesn’t strike me to be that type, is all.

Cody is not good enough to create a ton on his own, yet. But it will come with time/strength. I really wonder who comes out of camp ahead between he and Hendricks. If we still have Lauri, I think Cody’s skillset fits in better.

The Hendricks perception on here throughout summer league, we're only 4 days removed from his great game against Philly

Oh my dear Lord. Did not have -

Hotttnickkk as the “Voice of Reason” on my Summer league bingo card.

Great observations. I think summer league is way too easy to overreact. It’s a good time to look for flashes and then we’ll see what they do with their opportunities this year. Everyone will have plenty of opportunities this year. . .

My fear after watching quite a bit of SL this year(unlike past seasons) is that the best hope for the 7-8 young guys who are on guaranteed contracts is end-of-bench player. Not role player like Joe Ingles was a role player. I don't know if any of these guys will ever be good enough to carry Joe Ingles' bloodied head bandage. They all look like on a good team, they might take 4-5 shots a game. They all look absolutely clueless on offense and we're talking against players who are also raw or G-Leaguers.

Now, that's fine for Kessler because he is a good defender and may yet become a great one, so I'm okay with him just living off putbacks and easy dunks on the offensive end, but the rest of the kids look like they can't defend, either. I get that on a decent team, you might have enough scorers and shooters that you probably need a starter who doesn't look for his shot, but holy, we're looking like we have seven of those. Who's going to score on this team?

A serious question is do the Jazz move on from Lofton and Bazely and replace them with guys on the trash heap? My thought is that both should be dominating at this level and they clearly aren't doing that.

Well Keyonte for one we know can score at a high level.

Cody had already shown flashes - he has tremendous upsides in my book.

Sensabaugh projected as a backup wing off the bench.

Flip projected as a backup big.

Collier to me is the wildcard. If he develops right he has Brunson potential. But remember even Brunson bounced around a bit. If he could make shots and keep his turnovers under control he can become a solid starter in this League. If not then he’s out of the League in 4-5 years.
