I still (irrationally) like THT. I hope he lands somewhere. Was hoping he’d work out in Utah, but you’ve gotta be able to consistently shoot the ball at some point. He was incredibly entertaining while he was here though.
No question that he had a tendency to go for the $100 solution when a simple $5 no nonsense approach was the right answer. But of the guys mentioned, he gave the most consistent defensive effort imo.

Bazely is imo. THT was a victim of being on the wrong end of a numbers game and constantly in the Hardy doghouse. Feel bad for him and could’ve used him last night.
THT was given plenty of opportunity.

He doesn’t have a position. He doesn’t have a consistent shot. Not quick enough to defend guards and not big enough to defend NBA wings.

He’ll probably shine in the Chinese League but not suited to the NBA.

All you budding GMs, are Bazely and Lofton better than Yurt7, Potter, THT and Luka? Also there are guys on the free agent scrap heap that might be attractive other than our alums. I'm assuming Bacot, Abmas and Sane have cemented their legacy with the Stars.

Sane is interesting to me. He made some eye opening plays in the game and is still very young. It looks like he had been playing for the Ignite, which probably wasn't helping him develop at all. I think he could be interesting to invest some of our development dollars in to.

I wouldn’t mind giving a 2 way to a guy like that. See if he pops.

It seems like the Jazz have been more inclined to give two ways to lower upside guys, but players that can help our rookies/etc. have a stable environment when they play on the Stars.

Disagreed! Coach didn’t like him going all Alpha but he could sure as hell score. And he played some D - close to 2 steals a game and 1 block per 36 last season, close to to 4 steals a game per 36 his best season.

Yeah I forgot he was a defensive juggernaut … so many teams qued up to grab him in free agency we had to miss out.

Bummer.

An eye opener for me was late in the season when Hardy let THT, Yurt7, Luka, Juzang and Potter out of the kennel club and the team was competitive going 2-2. I know it wasn't real NBA but it showed they could play a little ball.

Lofton Jr was absolutely bad. Tried to bully ball like Kobe Brown did but he was too short for it. Harkless was completely hounding Collier and Abmas.
Kobe a downhill bully. It felt like he could get past anyone if he got his shoulder by them, but he didn't have great control when he got there.

He's an African Academy player iirc. Extremely raw and no game whatsoever. He's two years away from being two years away

I feel like the player I would comp Collier to now is Bledsoe. His defense seems way better than what his reputation was at USC
