I don't think we were down on Randle. The consensus was that he'd be a solid player but has limited upside. Both Gordon and Vonleh were bigger risk/reward prospects and I think most of us assumed it would be a choice between those two unless the Jazz decided to Get Smart. Randle would have been a good addition to the team, but at #5, there were going to be better prospects available.
 
So he broke his right leg by kicking it in the air with his left leg. Tough luck.
