What's new

Just bought this fixer upper.... ideas?

My roommate in college had one..... it was in great condition and fast as ****.
We took it to Vegas and got it up to 125 mph.

Only seated 2 people though and was a weird copper/orange color.

Cool car though and very rare to see another one on the road

125 lol grandpa.

I hit like 140 in my car every morning on I-80. #stressrelief #dumptrackin

Of the cars you've mentioned, I'd love to see a restored Chevelle SS.

I've kinda always wanted to see a restored Buick GNX as well. I have a soft spot for the 80s. Probably the last solid American muscle IMO.

All time favorite vehicle is a 1969 Chevelle SS 350 or 396. Beautiful vehicles.

After that, it would have to be a GTO Judge.

While I would love to restore one, it's hard to justify spending enough money to do it right (and IMO, the only right way to do it is original), because it would cost as much as a new vehicle that is actually dependable…these older vehicles always have to have spark plugs and what not changed.

I am fixing up a 1971 Chevy 1/2 ton. Nothing special, just kind of a cool truck. I'll try to post pics later, but it's really nothing special at all.

A lightly tuned AMX might not have impressive top speed, but best believe the acceleration probably makes the driver feel like his chassis is twisting.

Y not dude. Definitely post a pic. I'd love to see pics of the Broncos that Bronco70 fixes up every now and then as well.

My uncle has a mid-60's Camaro (can't remember the exact year). Anyways, everything is original on it, it's kinda rare, and it's in fantastic condition. Just a gorgeous car. Thing is worth a lot of money too. I'll see if I can find a pic.

We have an old 1954 Packard that I would love to restore, but won't be able to until I get the farm bought and have a little more cash in hand. It's gonna be a bit more expensive because it was the version that had the hydraulics in it for leveling, and those are obviously all shot and are going to be a pain to replace. It's definitely going to be more economical to get somebody to restore it for me…but it's just not as fulfilling. Even if it took me 20+ years, I'd rather do it myself.

Haven't done anything with the pain, mainly just the interior and the bed.

Unfortunately I don't have any of the interior pics, but I changed the radio, speakers, cleaned everything out and reupholstered the bench seat. Only problem is keeping mice out of it…

First couple pics are pre-fixing it up (obviously). So I haven't really done a lot, just little stuff. Once I have more time/money, I'm going to get a new transmission and clean up the engine. Chrome it all up so it looks nice. And I need to put some glass packs on it with a bigger pipe so it sounds good.

This is gonna look pretty stinkin cool when you're done with it. And I'm not even that into trucks.

Did you order a sandblaster yet?

Try to find one with you or the missus next to it so I can show her just how big it is. Granted, you're almost a legal dwarf, but you get the point.

I think I've seen a couple on FB if that helps.

Nothing legal bout me ..

Surprising my wife with an escalade in 3.. 2..
