The presence of random injustice means there is no justice.

the legal system(not just of the USA all of them) are just a big JOKE.

a bad joke cus i aint laughing.

Just proves the more money you have the better off you are in every single facet of life. Poor and steal a donut? 5 years in jail. Rich and bilk an orphanage out of millions? 9 months at a federal resort.

It's called judicial disgression. . . . really, digression from consistent, equal treatment.

happens all the time. It just seems like a man who is intellectually superior to and more lucratively-endowed that the judge is himself, should actually be given respect. Until you can demonstrate more sophistication and talent than the judge, you get no respect. And usually those judges are very talented.

Crazy. Stories like this get me infuriated. Unfortunately, not quite to the point of getting up to go and create change. The dynamic of this story is not something anyone will change, ever, in the history of humanity. Where is my laptop, smart phone, ipad, ipod or shoes with wheels in the sole? I've got something more important to do.

whatever the **** its called it is WRONG

I've got no hope any more than the poor homeless dude. Slavery is wrong too. Some thugs beating the brush with guns and chains catching simple folk and loading them on slaveships like cordwood.

Our schools worldwide turnig out slick lawyers by the thousands and giving them a professional status for their ability to circumvent whatever laws the legislators can write for the common folk, is wrong. Letting "lawyers" run for public office and even write the laws, and ram them through congress in the wee midnight hours purposefully to prevent the public from even knowing what they're doing, and lying to the public about what it all means is wrong too.

And a media establishment that is owned and operated by the folks who keep the little lawyers on their payroll, whose "news network" is nothing more than a smirk on their well-washed faces while they lie to the people is wrong too.

The American legal establishment has caught up with the rest of the world in circumventing every ideal of mankind and subjugating the people.

While the common man still believes "legal" means "right'.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, depending on your POV) differing jurisdictions give out differing sentences. The Allen scumbag got "lucky" and was sentenced in Federal court, where they just love to let white collar criminals get off easy. This poor guy in Louisiana got sentenced in one of the most corrupt god awful states in the US, and was unfortunate enough to get a judge who's probably some worthless pile of crap "law and order" jackass that wants campaign fodder for his next election. Actually, i read a bit more about the case (and I should have suspected as much) the "law and order" guy who was campaigning for an election was the District Attorney, who asked for the 15 years. Amazingly the idiot judge gave it to him. So in this case there are two parties who are piles of crap, but again, we are talking about the worst city in one of the most god awful states in the nation.

What's more insightful is to compare the sentencing in the same jurisdictions. For example, that Allen crook got the same sentence as a guy in Colorado did for growing around 250 pot plants. So in the eyes of the Feds, growing 250 plants of a certain species is the equivalent of screwing people out of billions of dollars.

And in Shreveport, another man was sentenced for armed robbery got 5 a five year prison sentence suspended with 3 years probation. Like the homeless guy he was black so race wasn't the issue. He may have got a much better judge. And he was also a co-defendent, so maybe he flipped on his "partner" and got a lighter sentence.
