Oh he was rambling no doubt. But he wasn't seriously implying illegal aliens caused a fly to be on his podium, it's pretty clear he just riffed on it when he mentioned the fly and some people laughed on the audience. The point is, not every single thing that come out of his mouth is incoherent rambling worthy of derision and if people keep acting like it is it just undermines the attempt to call attention to the real things that are more disturbing, like making light of people with mental disabilities in his comments about Harris.
You misheard him. Since you're obviously not as smart or edumacated as Trump, you've never heard of a "faux nap," or "fake sleep." That's what Melania and Ivanka both do when Trump comes into the bedroom.

He should do yet another thing they claim Trump was going to do that you all are so afraid of? The hypocrisy is so insane! You all know it’s hypocrisy and you don’t care. Literally everything the dems accuse trump of they do themselves. Those that hate trump are only projecting the things they hate about themselves. Hypocritical liars.

It’s not the best example of how the third time around is going. But, just from my own perspective, it’s more apparent then ever that in this, his third try, from the perspective of intellect, he brings nothing to the table, and has no intention of doing so. He can’t. He can speak for hours without mentioning anything of substance, and supported with lies. His entire campaign is another effort to pull the wool over people’s eyes. There is only one message: elect Trump, the nation’s problems will be solved, peace will break out, Trump is the only choice that can ensure happy endings home and abroad. Elect Harris, not only will there be no happy endings, the ensuing collapse of anything good about life will be a true dire ending, probably, to borrow his frequent phrase, “like nothing ever seen before!”.
It’s a much stronger dystopian vision and use of fear as a motivation, imo, than Democratic warnings that Trump is a danger to democratic institutions. Nobody is going to out-doomsday Trump. But, I agree with LogGrad98, this wasn’t a great example of his truly mindless wandering.
I’m not sure it displays cognitive decline, though, as much as belief this type of campaign will work a third time. When you have nothing to offer(he doesn’t), don’t want to study issues( he can’t be bothered, and he knows best at all times anyway), a “just give me back the god**** office!” is your mindset, and there’s enough people out there buying into this truly “empty-headed” bs for years now, he’s apparently believing his lack of any depth doesn’t matter, his personality and following will carry him to victory.
But it’s the third time. And is it ever getting stale. And boring. And depressing. I think the lack of any substance whatsoever has never been more stark. It’s time to realize the emperor has no clothes. It’s never been easier to do so than it is in this 2024 campaign.
