I'm not immune to Trump's ****, this is more of Trump's ****. I called it that. He says insane **** every time he talks.

We don't have to pretend that he was extra crazy today. He was regular crazy today.

By whom? Who painted this as this dooming his campaign? Who’s saying that he was extra crazy?

I’ve seen this portrayed far more as Trump being Trump than the last gasp of his campaign. For months Trump hasn’t been Trump because Biden was at the top of the ticket. So he could do his schtick (toned down when Biden was flailing) and get away with it. Even after his convictions and he’d mouth off, the unhinged craziness was often overshadowed by the reminder that Biden was the Democratic option. Trump’s most recent press conference was the exact same **** we saw when he’d rant about prosecutors and judges, the 2020 election, and Covid. It’s just that this time, he’s got a young female version of Obama. Now his schtick just looks and sounds pathetic compared to Harris’s positive campaign and it’s getting under his skin.

I think a lot of normal Americans, including many conservatives, are tired of Trump and MAGA. They’ve been played out. The reality tv president schtick has become stale. Most People don’t want a weirdo for president.

This. All over the Internet and YouTube it's being branded as Trump's Biden debate moment. It's nowhere near that. It's just regular Trump ****. It was monumentally stupid of him to hold a press conference like this for no good reason, but pretty much everything he did and said, and the way he did it, was completely on brand. The dude has lost it. That's evident. But it has been for a while now.

So maybe that’s the issue. Maybe it’s being branded like this over video media and social media. I get most of my news from print media and everything I’ve read is this is the usual Trump. Sometimes they’ll compare his campaign to Harris’s. He’s flailing around trying to score a hit. He hasn’t figured it out. Is it laughin Kamala, not black Kamala, stupid Kamala, crooked K? What? So as his campaign fails to hit Harris’s, Trump continues to look at sound weak. Played out. Cuckholded by Harris/Walz

Not so much a case of never seeing him behave this way before, as it was a case of the worst timing imaginable to whine and cry for over one hour. People know there is a contest on now, and behaving like a 10 year old seemed more pronounced than at any time before. More than anything his “presser” announced: I am a very weak man! And I’m grateful he went that route. Sooner or later, the unique spell he has cast over our body politic will break, and people will wake up to the fact this emperor has no clothes. When I saw right away that he lacked the discipline not to advertise his fear, I really felt “this is that breaking point”. I might be mistaken, but judging from the response on social media, many others felt the same way: this is the beginning of the end…..

And I’m sure Nichols felt the same way:


Far better if it had been prime time, and no Olympics. But still a jaw dropping display of inherent weakness.

Harris/Waltz campaign unleashing their Operation Let trump Speak strategy. Which is always the best strategy. Get him in front of more cameras speaking off the cuff please. The cult will remain in love but everyone else gets to witness the insanity.

Trump said he ‘went down’ in helicopter ‘emergency landing’ with former San Francisco mayor, who says it never happened

Former President Donald Trump recounted a story to reporters on Thursday about being involved in a helicopter emergency landing with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown.

Trump: “I know Willie Brown very well. In fact, I went down in a helicopter with him. We thought maybe this is the end. We were in a helicopter going to a certain location together, and there was an emergency landing,” Trump told reporters gathered at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida for his first news conference since the Democratic ticket was announced.


“This was not a pleasant landing, and Willie was, he was a little concerned. So I know him, I know him pretty well. I mean, I haven’t seen him in years,” Trump continued.

Brown, however, rejected Trump’s account as “obviously wrong” during a phone call later Thursday with CNN, saying: “I’ve never been in a helicopter with him in my life.”

“He is trying his best to get some way to degrade Kamala,” the former mayor also said of Trump and his Democratic rival for the presidency. “There is no reason why her name ought to be mentioned anywhere near his lies, period.”

The New York Times reported Thursday that the former president apparently confused Willie Brown with former California Gov. Jerry Brown, with whom he toured wildfire damage by helicopter in November 2018.

A spokesperson for Jerry Brown told the Times that “there was no emergency landing and no discussion of Kamala Harris.”

California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who also toured the wildfires in 2018 as governor-elect, said of Trump’s account, “I call complete B.S.,” according to the Times.

“I was on a helicopter with Jerry Brown and Trump, and it didn’t go down,” Newsom told the Times, saying that Trump repeatedly brought up the possibility of crashing.

Right-wing media figures have before denigrated Harris as a “mistress” for her previous relationship with Brown – despite it having occurred after Brown was separated from his wife and was not a secret – among other attacks.

Trump during Thursday’s news conference claimed Willie Brown was “not a fan” of Harris and that he had told him “terrible things” about her.

Asked about those claims, Brown told CNN: “No. Why would I? Give me a break, please.”

Basically trump flew in a helicopter with jerry brown and gavin newsome and asked them about what might happen if the helicopter went down. That turned into being in a helicopter with willie brown that almost crashed and had to make an emergency landing.

Its just nuts how often trump lies. Its pretty much non stop.

Though to be fair to trump, maybe this was due to the senility/alzheimers.

Good thing about trump is that he throws himself in front of any and all cameras. Which are forums in which he has historically been vulnerable. Because he is an idiot. Operation, Let trump Speak!

Only time trump gets quiet is in a courtroom where lying is against the law. He gets really quiet then.

Yeah but even then he keeps lying until he is berated by the judge a dozen times and threatened with contempt.

Of course, any other defendant would have been held in contempt and punished for it. Rich people play by different rules.
