Kanter to workout with Kiki Vandeweghe

i think someone like kanter can benefit from anything that any past NBA big man can show him. honestly, what is there to lose by having him spend a day with kiki or an hour with malone? he needs to develop moves, develop confidence and learn to use his body. i see working out with kiki as a no-lose situation at worst.

it's not like we need kiki to be a COY for kanter to get a little better. it's not even about "coaching"... it's about, "hey, enes, try this move, it always worked for me."

Bad coaching is just that. Kanter could learn bad habits, technically or such. And just because it worked for Kiki doesn't mean it could work for Enes. I'm not saying it would be but working with anyone and everyone isn't the best approach imo. Just my opinion though and I can totally understand how one believes that working with any pros can be a good thing. To be honest, you're probably right and I'm just overthinking this. Quite frankly, from the tweet, I would guess Kanter is simply working with 360 Performance and Kiki just happens to be a consultant or something with them.

From Wikipedia:
Kiki initially had a front office role with the Dallas Mavericks, where he was instrumental in the development of Dirk Nowitzki. During his time in Dallas, Kiki also briefly served as an assistant head coach.

Fingers crossed.

Yea Wes I think you are over thinking this. I do not know how old you are but I watch Kiki in his prime and Kiki was a great shooter and had some nice post moves. He would be great for Kanter helping him with his outside shooting. Kanter's form is great. It is how he sets guys up and how he shoot that 15-20 ft. Again, Kanter can benefit from any NBA player who has a specific talent. Kiki was a scorer and shooter. The most important thing is Kanter is working on his game.

Yes agree.

Moreover, KOC is no fool. This would have been a calculated move on his part for sure.

How good was Popovich as a player? Phil Jackson?

Your playing career doesn't mean that much in relation to your coaching career.

nope, just have near-GOAT-at-their-position type players (MJ, Kobe, Duncan, hell even Sloan cemented his career through S&M) and you'll be successful.

Maybe, just maybe, Kanter is going to work out with Kiki. Kiki was one of the best conditioned players during his playing days and maybe that's what Kanter is doing at 360 Performance.
