Kanter traded to OKC

Btw he was credited for a bucket when he never touched the ball. So his line really looked like this 3-8. 2-6 from FT, 8 points 13 rebounds, 2 assists. And some on here are like ohhhh noes kanter is the killa.

I mean, he out performed Jeremy evans...

He put up plenty of them in Utah. Surprised so many are all shocked he would do it in OKC. Lol. Lol.

Because it was his first game there. Typically it takes a few weeks for a guy to settle in. But he's already doing his thing. Of course, it helps to have Adams and KD out.

That's the issue... The guy is a bull. I was more impressed with his two assists.

In the end I don't think we will look back at this trade as a loss... It is possible that everyone won on this deal. I do think that kanter will get less minutes if OKC gets healthy.

I think Kanter is goign to end up getting the same minutes. I think if he plays well enough in this stretch you are going to see them going to a 3 man big rotation with Adams/Kanter/Ibaka. Collison is a smart vet, but he sucks and they should be looking to cut his minutes if Kanter is playing well. I could see Kanter being exposed in the PO though.

Jazz FO made a big mistake with evaluating Kanter as a player. This guy is a Center, he can not defend PF in this league. I think it was a huge experience for him guarding them, but at "analytics" he looked worse than he was guarding players that are quick and have very good shooting ability. He sucks at defending the pick and roll, but almost every Big has his problems with that. Thats the reason why you play pick and roll... Defending them with Burke against a PF who is much quicker just makes it worse...

The Jazz FO estimated the 2013/2014 season wrongly. Kanter really sucked at defending the post against Centers, but that because he lost his physical strenght after surgery. When I remeber this year Kanter played great D against Cousins, last year Cousins was bumping Kanter away like he was a snitch. This year he was not able to move him away...

Master AL vs Darth Kanter:

In the first half Al really was great scoring the ball, he was doing it at will. Kanter was defending hard but AL finished with 4/5 shooting defended by Kanter. In the second half Kanter played great defense on Al and he was able to shut him down... Al is the best scoring big in the league and we all know how great he is at scoring in clutch time. But in the second half he was 2/8 defended by Kanter...

I think that Kanter has good potential as a post defender, especially if he is bulking up again.

This could just as easily read; "Jazz FO made a big mistake with evaluating Kanter as a player. Thus guy is a PF, he can not defend C in this league."

He can defend neither.

He can defend neither.

He has playes surprisingly good D over the last month. He did awesome agaisnt Dirk. He is a decent defender, just not a shot blocker.

Although I loved what I saw against Porty, it's hard to deny the double double Kanter out up last night. This is going to be interesting to follow.

I've had it with Kanter's empty stats. Scores 2 at one end, gives up 2 at the other. Nice rebound, only to turn it over or not pass out.

If it doesn't translate to wins on the board, it's useless to me.

I'm positive he will prove you wrong as time unfolds.

I've been a supporter of his longer than anyone on this site.. well, at least going back to pre-draft.. but I have also called it like I see it. He isn't now, nor will ever be, a starting C or PF on a contending team, because his defense is too weak.
