Kanter watch

He had a sweet steal + behind the back dribble + no look pass. If Kanter continues his natural progression at offensive including passing and scoring and rebounds he will be a center version of David Lee (who keep in mind isn't even in the rotation for GSW but did put all star numbers at one point). If Kanter improves his defense he can be a top 10 center in the league. (Keep in mind Gobert is already top 5 center and has #1 potential).

Kanter was playing power forward today with Adams at center until Adams fouled out. Those 2 together would be a helluva pair to match up against Favors and Gobert later this month.

kanter flourshin on a great team, despite them missin the reignin MVP.
coulda flourshed here.

thx alot jazz mgmt. just anotha effect of the perpetual rebuild. develop good players, farm em up real nice, then ship em off to bloom on teams tryin to win a title. and get back nothin in return or pennies on the dollar.

In an ideal world, we pay Kanter $16M, resign Favors for $18M and Gobert for $20M. We find a way to start 6 players so all three of those guys are happy. Or maybe Gobert can be a starting SF? Throw in $20M for Hayward. And tell the Millers to either pay the luxury tax or sell the team to a Chinese billionaire.

You are hilarious, JI. Please tell me how Kanter, Favors and Gobert could have all flourished here? Oh yes, you also have criticized the FO for not re-signing Millsap. So Utah should still have all 4 of those players and given each 30 mins+ to keep them happy?! Not sure how that works, but ummm kay.

Ya, Kanter is not as good as Gobert and Favors is a more balanced player than him. Can't pay as much money as Kanter would acquire and lock up too much cap at one position.

Kanter is a good player but.....

The question is whether Kanter will be better than Favors in the long haul. I thought yes for sure Kanter will be better, but I am pleasantly surprised how Favors has played at power forward and has made it harder to say for sure in my opinion that Kanter will be better or so much better that it was wrong to trade him .I think the Jazz picked Favors along time ago and tried to keep Kanter on the cheap by always making him seem less valuable.not that it was a bad thing for the team to try. Kanter just seen through the charade and the gig was up.

I had to read it 4 times, but I got it.

He is doing less in OKC, from a skill standpoint. Utah just asked him to be too skilled. **** confused Kanter and he sucked. OKC has made the game easier for him and he gets a lot more FGA to offensive rebound in a higher paced offense.
