in other news, probably one of the BEST headlines in all of this is that the SQUATTY POTTY Company has DUMPED Kathy Griffin as its spokesperson - though the company denies she was ever their "spokesperson" and says she was only hired to do one commercial which they are no longer using

I guess she's both pooped out and wiped up!

And there's actually a UTAH connection in all of this - SQUATTY POTTY was invented by a mother and son in St. George, Utah where the company is based!

Here's the thing: Griffin's actions were stupid and disrespectful and ignorant and numskulled and crass and tactless and every other synonym I could list. But nothing - not her firing from her CNN New Year's Eve gig or her public chastising by bestie Anderson Cooper - could shame her like being known as the person who was too crude for the Squatty Potty commercial in which she uses the (whisper) S-word no fewer than five times. (See the commercial below).

So when the Squatty Potty CEO wrote in a statement that Griffin did not represent the company's "core values," he gave Griffin her worst indictment yet: She was too nasty to be a potty mouth.

Yeah, pretty much all her work has been cancelled. And it's not like she's some up and coming star. Even at her height in the 90s she was a mediocre B-lister. I'd say she's done. Hopefully she has a good retirement plan set-up.
